About the Job
Our German Retail End Client is seeking a PostgreSQL DBA to join their team in Plaza Catalunya, the heart of Barcelona. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the top 10 IT hubs in Barcelona, developing and enhancing PostgreSQL database services. You will work alongside a skilled team to continue operating and improving the database environment, ensuring the best user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance PostgreSQL database services with your team.
- Operate and continuously improve the PostgreSQL database environment.
- Add new components to improve the user experience and support other database services on our cloud platform.
- Maintain and operate various technical systems for the cloud environment, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with other teams to manage the system environment, including container orchestration, operators, monitoring, alerting, and logging.
Your Profile
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
- Previous experience with PostgreSQL High Availability (HA) solutions.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about new technologies, particularly Linux, OpenStack, and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting the development of additional database services on a cloud platform.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
