Purchasing Officer
About the job: Responsible for procuring KFG's supplies. Research and identify prospective suppliers, evaluate their offerings against key business criteria and the required product specifications, and negotiate purchase agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory:
- Ensure annual projections are received from operations for regular raw materials and reviewed monthly as per the calendar/timelines set in policy.
- Provide annual projections for small ware, cutlery, plate ware, glassware, delivery bags, uniforms, premiums (toys), and spare parts by respective departments.
- Conduct inventory review and weekly meetings with the team on action items.
- Monitor critical expiry exposure stocks, non-moving & aging stocks, and work closely with the team and brand operations on the liquidation plan.
- Follow up and obtain the annual marketing/activity calendar for better visibility and on-time delivery for promotional materials.
- Support restaurant new openings, renovations, and closings.
- Develop alternatives for existing materials.
Purchasing:
- Achieve the lowest possible price and highest quality as per product specifications.
- Negotiate contract prices and terms with franchisors/approved suppliers. Compare product prices from different suppliers and finalize supply contracts within Kout guidelines.
- Timely renewal of supply contracts (yearly/half-yearly/quarterly), including hedging of key food products, average pricing, etc., based on market history and forecasts.
- Improve payment terms for positive cash flow.
- Align with finance to ensure vendor payments are processed as per agreed terms without delays.
Equipment Engineer
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration units, and other protein production equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Perform equipment validation and calibration procedures.
- Optimize production processes for efficiency and yield.
- Ensure compliance with GMP/GLP regulations.
- Manage and maintain facility utilities (CIP, SIP, HVAC, water systems).
- Implement and maintain process control systems (SCADA/DCS).
- Participate in facility expansion and equipment installation projects.
- Document all maintenance, operational, and validation activities.
