Specialist Orthodontist
Responsibilities
Operational Duties:
- Participate in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of patient care needs.
- Conduct patient interviews and ensure all clinic visit formalities are completed prior to treatment.
- Examine teeth, assess treatment options, and develop comprehensive treatment plans with the patient.
- Diagnose and treat abnormalities in the development of jaws, teeth position, and other dental-facial structures.
- Utilize cephalometric, height, weight records, dental X-rays, and photos to plan treatment.
- Design and fabricate dental appliances such as retainers, space maintainers, and arch wires to realign teeth.
- Prescribe medicines for swollen gums and maintain records of patient ailments.
- Document patient details and ensure confidentiality in patient records.
Patient Care:
- Create a work environment that promotes high standards of patient care, customer service, and ethical behavior.
- Take patient history, conduct physical examinations, and interpret necessary investigations.
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene, and proper teeth care.
- Monitor patients' conditions, assess treatment progress, and modify treatment as needed.
- Arrange referrals for patients requiring other medical or dental attention.
Compliance with Medical Ethics:
- Adhere to Ministry of Health regulations, Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, and Dental Department policies.
- Follow established standards and procedures within the field of orthodontics.
- Seek consultations from other physicians when necessary and maintain current clinical skills through Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Education:
- Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in dentistry.
- Contribute to staff professional development by providing teaching materials and support.
- Attend accredited conferences and meetings to enhance clinical and management skills.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 3 years post-PhD/MD/Fellowship/Membership in Orthodontics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide exceptional patient care.

المسؤوليات
الواجبات التشغيلية:
- المشاركة في تقييم وتنفيذ وتقييم احتياجات رعاية المرضى.
- إجراء مقابلات مع المرضى وضمان إتمام جميع الإجراءات اللازمة قبل العلاج.
- فحص الأسنان، تقييم خيارات العلاج، وتطوير خطط علاج شاملة مع المريض.
- تشخيص وعلاج التشوهات في تطور الفك ووضع الأسنان والهياكل الوجهية الأخرى.
- استخدام سجلات الأشعة السينية، والقياسات، والصور الأمامية والجانبية لتخطيط العلاج.
- تصميم وصناعة الأجهزة مثل المثبتات والأسلاك لتعديل وضع الأسنان والفك.
- وصف الأدوية للأمراض التي تصيب اللثة والحفاظ على سجلات المرضى.
- توثيق تفاصيل المرضى والحفاظ على سرية السجلات.
رعاية المرضى:
- توفير بيئة عمل تعزز من معايير رعاية المرضى وخدمة العملاء والسلوك الأخلاقي.
- أخذ تاريخ المرضى، وإجراء الفحوصات البدنية، وتفسير الفحوصات الضرورية.
- توعية المرضى بالعناية بالأسنان والصحة الفموية.
- متابعة حالة المرضى وتقييم تقدم العلاج وتعديله حسب الحاجة.
- ترتيب إحالات للمرضى الذين يحتاجون إلى رعاية طبية أو أسنان أخرى.
الامتثال للأخلاقيات الطبية:
- الالتزام بتنظيمات وزارة الصحة ولوائح الكادر الطبي في المستشفى وسياسات قسم الأسنان.
- اتباع المعايير والممارسات المعتمدة في مجال تقويم الأسنان.
- التشاور مع الأطباء الآخرين عند الحاجة وتحديث المهارات السريرية من خلال التعليم الطبي المستمر (CME).
التعليم:
- البقاء على اطلاع بأحدث التطورات وأفضل الممارسات في طب الأسنان.
- المساهمة في تطوير الموظفين من خلال توفير المواد التعليمية والدعم.
- حضور المؤتمرات المعتمدة لتعزيز المهارات السريرية والإدارية.
الشروط
- خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات، مع 3 سنوات على الأقل بعد الحصول على الدكتوراه/الماجستير/زمالة أو عضوية في تقويم الأسنان.
