Postal Clerk
Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Safeguard all mail.
- Loads/unloads mail trucks. Process all Pro-grade and Retro-grade mail at APO’s and JMMT. Verify mail pieces on incoming mail manifest. Prepare outgoing mail manifest.
- Separate accountable mail from ordinary mail.
- If x-ray machine is available, randomly X-ray selected mailbags and parcels, and suspicious mail for incendiary explosive devices and other prohibited items, notify supervisor.
- Open worker mailbags and letter trays, and sort mail by authorized APOs or assigned units. In process all service mail i.e. insured, certified on a postal required delivery form.
- Conduct unit mail call at prescribed time and provide the necessary customer assistance to the unit mail clerks.
- Distribute incoming mail to authorized unit mail clerks and ensure unit mail clerk sign for custody of service mail i.e. insured, certified, except Registered mail. Receipt from the unit mail clerks re-direct all mis-sent mail for forwarding to correct location.
- Separate and re-wrap mail parcel received in damaged condition and re-seal envelopes received in opened condition. Endorse the damaged or unopened mail.
Electrician Journeyman
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs wire circuits including electrical equipment such as distribution panels, transformers, motor control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices and supporting electrical wiring distribution systems.
- Connects electrical distribution systems for remote locations to on-site electrical generating equipment such as diesel generator sets and electrical distribution switchgear to include installation of panel boards, branch circuits, breakers, switches, conduit, and wiring.
- Provides technical support functions to UPS, Generators, and HVACs.
- Responsible for inspection and maintenance of all electrical systems to include electrical appliances and outlets (to include GFI circuits, emergency lighting, and central fire alarm systems).
- Performs start/run operational inspections on generator sets and full load/facility load tests, routine operational checks of all electrical switch-gear, power cabling, and transformers.
- Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, facility UPSs, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
COMSEC Repairman
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of formal military or civilian training in electronics maintenance is required.
- Completion of Pace soldering Level I and II training strongly desired.
- Must be school trained on AN/GRM 122 test equipment.
- Must be able to obtain a Host Country Driver's License
Building Maintenance Mechanic - Asset Inspector
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Inspecting and inventorying Real Property assets in facilities.
- Performs Facility Condition assessments.
- Responsible for completing various general and specialized trade skills, including but not limited to; carpentry, painting, concrete, welding, drywall, door hardware, or various ceiling and flooring systems.
- Duties may also include maintenance of structures surrounding a facility such as fencing, gates, area lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
- Responsible for developing supply estimates for various projects, gathering technical data, evaluating/formulating safety procedures, material and fiscal requirements for assigned projects.
- May assist project coordinator in planning, cost estimating, designing, developing and completing local projects.
- Technician shall be knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures and personal protection equipment (PPE) required that’s related to his or her assign job description accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), facility, system equipment security, Environmental Compliance Assessment Protocol (ECAP) and National Electrical Code (NEC) safety standards. To include, but not limited to, fall protection requirements, confined spaces, oil spills and HVAC liquid chemicals handling. Technician shall also wear their appropriate safety equipment at all times while performing their assigned task.
