Diabetic Podiatrist
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- To identify and manage diabetic foot complications
- To assess diagnose and formulate evidence based diabetic foot ulcer /wound management with knowledge of tissue viability and experience in treating chronic diabetes foot ulceration and other care group conditions.
- Experience of working or using specialist skills in the care of the Diabetic foot.
- Involvement in health promotion and disease management
- To critically analyse and apply clinical reasoning skills in the selection of appropriate assessment techniques including neurological, vascular, dermatological, biomechanical and other podiatric assessments in the context of diabetes podiatric practice.
- The knowledge and ability to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the vascular and neurological status of the lower limb including use of Doppler, Ankle Brachial Pressure Index calculation, and tests for sensory and motor dysfunction.
- The ability to recognize, detect and understand the importance of peripheral arterial disease and related clinical pathologies and refer for vascular assessment and interventions in a timely manner
- A high standard of wound care including sharp debridement skills and knowledge of standard and advanced topical and adjunct therapies
- The ability to detect signs of infection, to determine level of infection, take tissue samples,to interpret results and initiate appropriate timely actions / referrals.
Homecare Nurse
Criteria to qualify;
- Bachelors in Nursing or equivalent
- 4 years experience post graduation
- Preferable with experience in the Middle East

Key Responsibilities:
1.Patient Assessment & Management:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and initiate timely management.
- Recognize and manage emergency conditions, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and neurological emergencies.
- Request appropriate investigations and interpret results effectively.
2.Resuscitation & Critical Care:
- Assist in resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients under the supervision of a
- specialist.
- Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, IV access, and wound care under the supervision of a specialist.

- لتحديد وإدارة مضاعفات القدم السكرية
- لتقييم وتشخيص وصياغة علاج قرحة القدم السكرية / الجروح المستندة إلى الأدلة مع معرفة قابلية الأنسجة للحياة والخبرة في علاج تقرحات القدم السكرية المزمنة وحالات مجموعة الرعاية الأخرى.
- - خبرة في العمل أو استخدام المهارات المتخصصة في رعاية القدم السكرية.
- المشاركة في تعزيز الصحة وإدارة الأمراض
- لتحليل مهارات التفكير السريري وتطبيقها بشكل نقدي في اختيار تقنيات التقييم المناسبة بما في ذلك التقييمات العصبية والوعائية والأمراض الجلدية والبيوميكانيكية وغيرها من التقييمات الطبية المتعلقة بالقدم في سياق ممارسة طب القدم لمرضى السكري.
- المعرفة والقدرة على إجراء تقييم شامل للحالة الوعائية والعصبية للطرف السفلي بما في ذلك استخدام دوبلر، وحساب مؤشر ضغط الكاحل العضدي، واختبارات الخلل الحسي والحركي.
- القدرة على التعرف على مرض الشرايين الطرفية والكشف عنه وفهم أهميته والأمراض السريرية المرتبطة به والإحالة إلى التقييم الوعائي والتدخلات في الوقت المناسب
- مستوى عالٍ من العناية بالجروح بما في ذلك مهارات التنظيف الدقيقة ومعرفة العلاجات الموضعية والإضافية القياسية والمتقدمة
- القدرة على اكتشاف علامات العدوى، وتحديد مستوى العدوى، وأخذ عينات من الأنسجة، وتفسير النتائج وبدء الإجراءات / الإحالات المناسبة في الوقت المناسب.

- التعرف على الحالات الطارئة وإدارتها، بما في ذلك حالات الطوارئ المتعلقة بالصدمات والقلب والجهاز التنفسي والعصبية.
- اطلب إجراء التحقيقات المناسبة وتفسير النتائج بشكل فعال.
2. الإنعاش والعناية الحرجة:
- المساعدة في إنعاش واستقرار المرضى المصابين بأمراض خطيرة تحت إشراف
- متخصص.
- إجراء إجراءات الطوارئ مثل إدارة مجرى الهواء، والوصول إلى الوريد، والعناية بالجروح تحت إشراف أخصائي.
