Internal Auditor - Operational Risk
Role:
- The Internal Auditor – Operational Risk will conduct comprehensive audits of both inventory and operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile them with accounting records.
- Investigate discrepancies and potential shrinkage (loss of inventory).
- Review and assess inventory management practices and procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls across various departments such as sales, customer service, etc...
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze operational processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential control weaknesses.
- Prepare well-documented audit reports with clear and concise findings and recommendations for both inventory control and operational improvement.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified risks and control deficiencies in both inventory and operational areas.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices for both stock auditing and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CISA preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, stock auditing, or a relevant combination of both.
- Female Auditors will be preferred in order to be able to access our women only gyms.
- A strong understanding of internal control frameworks and inventory management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
