Position: Cyber Security Specialist
Location: Kuwait
Key Responsibilities
-
Security Policies & Procedures: Develop and maintain guidelines for secure usage of IT resources, covering areas like password management, data handling, and acceptable use.

Security Controls Implementation: Set up and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software to protect the network from unauthorized access and attacks.

Network Activity Monitoring: Monitor network traffic, analyze logs, and proactively address vulnerabilities to prevent potential breaches.

Incident Response: Take swift action to contain security incidents, investigate breaches, and implement recovery measures.

User Education & Training: Raise cybersecurity awareness through training sessions, workshops, and campaigns for faculty, staff, and students.

Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest cybersecurity threats and evolve strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
-
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are preferred.
Experience
-
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
-
Experience in IT security within an educational setting is preferred.
Technical Skills
-
Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, security technologies (firewalls, IDS, encryption, vulnerability scanning).

Familiarity with university-specific security regulations and compliance standards.
Behavioral Skills
-
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve security issues effectively.

Communication Skills: Capable of conveying complex technical information in a clear and understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented approach to identifying and addressing potential security weaknesses.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية

سياسات وإجراءات الأمان: تطوير وصيانة إرشادات لاستخدام موارد تكنولوجيا المعلومات بشكل آمن، بما في ذلك إدارة كلمات المرور، التعامل مع البيانات، وقبول السياسات.

تنفيذ ضوابط الأمان: إعداد وإدارة الجدران النارية، أنظمة الكشف عن التسلل، وبرامج مكافحة الفيروسات لحماية الشبكة من الوصول غير المصرح به والهجمات.

مراقبة نشاط الشبكة: مراقبة حركة مرور الشبكة، تحليل السجلات، ومعالجة الثغرات بشكل استباقي لمنع الخروقات المحتملة.

استجابة الحوادث الأمنية: اتخاذ إجراءات سريعة لاحتواء الحوادث الأمنية، التحقيق في الخروقات، وتنفيذ تدابير التعافي.

تثقيف وتدريب المستخدمين: زيادة الوعي بالأمن السيبراني من خلال جلسات التدريب وورش العمل والحملات لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين والطلاب.

البقاء على اطلاع: متابعة أحدث التهديدات في مجال الأمن السيبراني وتطوير استراتيجيات للتخفيف من المخاطر بشكل فعال.
التعليم والشهادات
-
درجة بكالوريوس في الأمن السيبراني، تكنولوجيا المعلومات، علوم الكمبيوتر أو مجال ذي صلة.
-
الشهادات ذات الصلة (مثل CompTIA Security+، CISSP، CEH) مفضلة.
الخبرة
-
4-5 سنوات من الخبرة في الأمن السيبراني.
-
خبرة في الأمن المعلوماتي ضمن بيئة تعليمية مفضلة.
المهارات التقنية
-
معرفة قوية بالشبكات، أنظمة التشغيل، تقنيات الأمان (الجدران النارية، IDS، التشفير، أدوات فحص الثغرات).
-
الإلمام باللوائح الأمنية الخاصة بالجامعات ومتطلبات الامتثال.
المهارات السلوكية
-
التحليل وحل المشكلات: القدرة على تحديد وتحليل وحل قضايا الأمان بفعالية.
-
مهارات التواصل: القدرة على نقل المعلومات التقنية المعقدة بطريقة واضحة ومفهومة للجمهور الفني وغير الفني.

الاهتمام بالتفاصيل: نهج دقيق للتعرف على الثغرات الأمنية ومعالجتها.
