Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance to documented ISO-9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System requirements.

- Complies with the Operation Manuals of all Finishing End Area equipment and sub-units (CB Rakes, Roller Tables, Cold Shears, Transferring and Collection Devices, Counting Bed table, Bundling and Weighing Units, etc.) to ensure productive, efficient and safe operation.
- Monitors all sections of the Finishing End Area to prevent stoppages cause by undershoot and overshoot of bars, bar spreading, bent bars, bar misalignment, bar overlaps, bar stuck, short bars, bar looping, etc. Removes remnant tails of bars after cold shear cutting cycles, if any.
- Performs bundle tagging and ocular inspection in the bundles for short bar inclusion and/or presence of oil stains and other bar defects. Secures that no bundle is lifted by the overhead crane unless inspected for compliance.
- Performs in-process testing and inspection of rebar based on documented procedures. Obtains rebar samples for QA mechanical testing. Coordinates with Pulpit Operator and/or Cold Shear Operators regarding cut length, bar appearance and other operational concern feedbacks.
- Ensures the consistent availability and supply of gas cutting materials and spare gas cylinders at all designated locations within the Finishing End area.
- Responsible for the disposal of bar ends and crop deposits accumulated in the cold shears’ scrap buckets and ensures constant availability of empty buckets in all designated areas at all times.
- Responsible for routine replenishment of wire coils in the bundling machines. Performs wire coil changing for problematic bundling wires as directive by the Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring that wire coils are mounted and ready for use in the spare magazines.
- Periodic relieving of CSBM Operators whenever these operators are pre-occupied and/or engaged in other operational matters. Responsible for manual operation and intervention in the bundling machine local control desk whenever necessary.
- Ensures that the following do not come into the prime bundle formation:
5-Hydraulic & Pneumatic Specialist
Duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Executing the maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems with assistance from the mechanical fitter, as per daily checklists and SAP preventive maintenance plan.
- Inspection of responsible/allocated area system, reporting any major abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook and checklists of SAP
- Execution of corrective action to eliminate the identified abnormalities with assistance from, Mechanical Fitter
- Thorough understanding of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems and their circuits, and system components so that maintenance time can be reduced by solving the problems quickly to ensure the maximum equipment availability

- Carry-out pre-operation inspection / check list, equipment trials and

- Performing all the activities related to heat process: ladle receiving,

- heat lifting to caster.
- Coordinating with heavy vehicle operator for slag removal from
- dumping area & additive operator for Ferro alloys & fluxes feeding.
- Logging all the information in Level 2 system related to heat report,
- deviations, delays, electrode changing / adjustment activities and
- Ladle details like Re -ladle & purging status reports.
- Performing the inspection activity like ladle shell & slag zone bricks,

- Fire watch of surroundings (Roof gantry, Tilting Cylinders, settling chamber and materials area) during EAF process and tapping.
- They are reporting to EAF supervisor for material issuances as per the stock availability at the shop floor.
- Perform cleaning of rail tracks, scrap car, ladle car scrap charging area, tapping pit trench, electrode stands, and walkways.
- Monitor for scrap spillages around the furnace & shell rim cleaning and any leftover scrap hanging in the bucket.
- Preparation for Tapping activities like ladle availability, preheater activity, ladle condition, manual tapping additions, ladle car rails, tapping pit condition, and tapping. Inspection of purging lines, walkway movement, lancing pipes, and holders.
9-Machinist
Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance to documented ISO-9001 and 14001 &OHSAS 18001 requirements.
- Ensures compliance with safe working practice on the shop floor and executing all industrial safety rules so that no damage occurs to man and machines.

- Carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.

- Proper maintenance of Automation System and updating the knowledge in PLCs, Drives (VVVF and DC drives) and other devices, software back-up taking, proper safekeeping and uploading / downloading programs to the related equipment and maintaining these systems well.

13- Pulpit Operator
Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements.
- Complies with company rules and regulation.
- Complies with Rolling Mill Operation Manual to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Encodes and downloads the required mill operational parameters in the Roll Master program.
- Operates the mill control system at main pulpit from roughing mill to bar switch.
- Monitors and controls the mill line thru visual observation, video monitors and computer interface system (HMI).
- Inputs the required parameter adjustments (i.e. speed, wear compensation etc.) in the HMI and / or roll master to ensure stable mill operation.
- Records shift delays in the Daily Shift Report form and electronically encode in the Level II Shift Delay Report.
- Coordinates with Mill Operators, Finishing End crew and QAD to secure productive, efficient and safe operation.
- Sets up the mill auxiliaries and utilities to the required condition when in non operation mode (i.e. size change, section change, shutdowns).
- Conducts visual physical verification of the grooves in use as compared to the set-up sheet prior to mill start up operation.
- Secures clearance with relevant maintenance personnel prior to start up after every major stoppages or downtimes involving maintenance events.
- Assists in the pass, cassette, size and / or section change activities.
- Assists in the clearing and disposal of cobbles.
- Performs housekeeping activities.

14- Electrical Technician
Duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, control panels, and lighting

- Ensures that necessary equipment, parts, tools and other supplies are identified and available.
- Conducts quality control inspection of all incoming electrical and electronic equipment and parts.
- Provides Purchasing personnel with all necessary technical information regarding the purchase of materials and spares, when requested.
- Prepares Job Order request of spares to be done by Machine Shop personnel and those jobs to be farmed-out to outside shops.
- Evaluates Electronic Specialists and Electrical Technicians, trains them to be more productive, instills human and corporate values, resolves conflicts and implements disciplinary action.
- Assists Maintenance Planning in the preparation of technical documents, training needs analysis, maintenance procedures, drawing packages and other related documentation.
- Prepares and signs material issuance slips, purchase requisition, overtime permits and shift change schedules and recommends sick leave for ailing personnel.
- Attends operations meeting and cascades to subordinates company policies, rules / regulations, procedures, objectives, amendments in record forms, work procedures and drawings and all necessary information especially those which pertain to the uplift of the company and individuals.
