Quantity Surveyor and Pricing Engineer
Description
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor and Pricing Engineer to join our team in Kuwait.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and contract management process for construction projects.
- They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
- Conducting cost analysis and value engineering studies to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluating and negotiating contract terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitoring project progress and costs, and providing regular reports to project stakeholders.
- Managing change orders and variations to ensure that they are properly documented and communicated to all parties involved.
- Performing risk analysis and developing contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns.
- Preparing and submitting claims for additional work and cost adjustments.
- Collaborating with project teams to develop and implement cost control measures.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and local regulations.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project costs and documentation.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and pricing engineering for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
