Pulpit Operator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures compliance to ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements.
Complies with company rules and regulation.
Complies with Rolling Mill Operation Manual to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Encodes and downloads the required mill operational parameters in the Roll Master program.
Operates the mill control system at main pulpit from roughing mill to bar switch.
Monitors and controls the mill line thru visual observation, video monitors and computer interface system (HMI).

Ensure compliance to Integrated Management System standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) requirements.

Electrical in charge

Skills

Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting of Siemens PLC S7 400.

Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of AC motors and controls particularly in VVVF drives as well as other related electrical equipment.
Adequate knowledge of Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance.
Adequate knowledge in various management skills i.e. planning, problem solving and decision making.

Electronic Specialist

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic systems, automation, PLC programming, and control theory.
Experience working with measurement instruments, sensors, and control systems commonly used in the steel industry.

Skills:

Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems
Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, and data analysis tools
Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

6G Pipe Welder/Fabricator

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Carrying-out required welding jobs and maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) by associating with mechanical technician as per maintenance SAP PM work order and giving back proper feedback.
To perform welding / gas cutting work in EAF/LRF roof, shell, and EBT water cooled panel’s leakages in assistance with mechanical fitter.
Assisting mechanical technician in correcting the identified abnormalities under the supervision of his superior.
Assisting mechanical technician in attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
Implementing & following the instructions from the management.
Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
Assisting mechanical technician in carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.
Proper maintenance of equipment / facilities and carrying out repair works and keeping spares ready.
Studying the system, proper tools handling, safekeeping and working effectively to reduce the maintenance cost.
Proper housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools and work areas. Cleaning of equipment areas after any maintenance job.

Auto Electrician - Heavy Equipment

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Electrical Maintenance
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in steel production processes.
Repair and Installation
Repair or replace defective electrical components, such as motors, switches, relays, and control panels.
Install new electrical equipment, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and adherence to safety standards.
Preventive Maintenance
Troubleshoot electrical problems using various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
HSE & Quality Responsibilities
Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System, and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001)
Executing Health, Safety, and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standards, company and country rules, and legal regulations
Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, and objectives and preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives

Hydraulic & Pneumatic Specialist

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Executing the maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems with assistance from the mechanical fitter, as per daily checklists and SAP preventive maintenance plan.
Inspection of responsible/allocated area system, reporting any major abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook and checklists of SAP
Execution of corrective action to eliminate the identified abnormalities with assistance from, Mechanical Fitter
Thorough understanding of all the hydraulic systems & pneumatic systems and their circuits, and system components so that maintenance time can be reduced by solving the problems quickly to ensure the maximum equipment availability
Implementing the instruction from the management
Coordinating with other departments and working as a team
Carrying out daily hydraulic oils of various systems, making the spares list, proper maintenance of systems, Equipment/ facilities/ carrying out repair works, and keeping spares ready.
Studying the hydraulic & pneumatic systems circuit diagrams/ drawings, selecting proper tools for special/critical jobs, safekeeping, and working effectively to reduce maintenance costs.
Responsible to have proper housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools, and work areas. Cleaning of equipment areas after any maintenance job
Following rules & regulations of the company, such as company annual leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days, and safety instructions and the rules specified by the Authority/ Ministry
Performs other tasks and duties that maybe assigned by his superior

LRF Operator

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Attending toolbox meeting with his crew members, to address all the safe working practices, INIR’s, Hazard & Risk Identification’s, Ladder Safety, House Keeping and waste management.
He should ensure that all required tools and tackles and consumables are available near the shop floor for his shift as well as for reliever shift to avoid any kind of delays.
Must follow the shift relieving policy (handover &takeover of shift at work site) and also, he must ensure himself available at work site during working hours.
Carry-out pre-operation inspection / check list, equipment trials and any abnormalities noticed to be reporting to immediate superior.
Preparation includes taking trail movement of scrap & ladle transfer cars and preheater, scrap buckets, rail exchangers, purging lines.
Performing the visual inspection of shell bottom, temperature measurement, EBT flapper monitoring (during closing).
Fire watch of surroundings (Roof gantry, Tilting Cylinders, settling chamber and materials area) during EAF process and tapping.
Reporting to EAF SIC for material issuances as per the stock availability at shop floor.
Performing all the activities related to purging hose connection & di-connection. LF consumables, manual alloy addition arrangements at working floor.
Perform Electrode preparation activity like nipple fixing and lifting spare electrode.
Reporting to EAF/LRF SIC for material issuances as per the stock availability at shop floor.
Electrode changing, adjustment & preparation and seeking assistance from EAF / LF supervisor.
Perform cleaning of rail tracks, scrap car, and scrap charging area, tapping pit trench, electrode stands, and walkways.
Assisting LF lead operator for cleaning of car tracks, material area, trench and roof.
Perform the activities like gunning, fettling, cold ramming, EBT re-piping, EBT changing, end brick changing, lining repairs and door electrode changing along with his fellow men / refractory team.

Mechanical Technician

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Carrying out maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) as per SAP work order and giving back proper feedback.
Inspection of responsible/allocated area equipment, reporting any abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook and checklists in SAP.
Correcting the identified abnormalities under the supervision of the superior.
Attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
Implementing & following the instructions from the management.
Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
Carrying out daily shift activities and following through with the problems.
Proper maintenance of equipment/facilities and carrying out repair works and keeping spares ready.
Studying the system, proper tools handling, safekeeping and working effectively to reduce the maintenance cost.

Refractory Mason

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Contributes to minimization of production cost by operating the crane at its optimum level with utmost care to minimize the usage of spare parts, manpower manhours and tools.
Reading, understanding and complying with all work instructions, and safety procedures related to his line of work as well as complying with the health, and environmental standards of the company.
Attends toolbox meetings with his crew members; addressing and contributing to safe working practice issues, incident report discussion, housekeeping and hazards and risk identification.
Verifies that all lifting tools and tackles being used for rigging/hoisting are in good condition and that the usage is correct by the ground crew.
Strictly follows shift relieving policy (handover & takeover of shift and work site) and must ensure that he is available at the work site during working hours.
Carries out instructions and other related work being handed down by his superior.
Carrying out the pre-operation check of his crane including test movements prior to his proper shift duty and any abnormalities found shall be reported to his immediate superior.
Cooperate and take initiative in any projects that will improve the safe operation of the overhead cranes.

Security Guard- for Kuwaiti Nationals

4.0 Primary responsibilities:

4.1 Provide security to the office staffs, buildings, and properties.
4.2 Keep the premises free from all kinds of danger.
4.3 Look out for suspicious person, vandalism, or hazard.
4.4 Maintain all the security devices such as CCTV Surveillance System, Handheld Metal Scanners and Walkie Talkie etc. in good condition.
4.5 Conduct patrolling through the responsible areas.
4.6 Prepare and submit the reports of incident/accident or potential problems.
4.7 Propose the training programs for the security personnel.
4.8 Evaluate, assess and analyze performance of the security personnel
4.9 Initiate the disciplinary measures wherever necessary.
4.10 Develop and implement the preventative measures against any accidents, theft, and other risks.
4.11 Ensure the compliance of applicable policies and regulations while implementing security measures.

Chief Engineer - Electrical & Automation - Lime & Dololime Plant

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

To make, review regularly and establishes the planned preventive maintenance plan and initiate necessary revision to improve equipment availability.
Controls Electrical & Automation maintenance budget and improvements in cost effective manner.
Reporting about major potential failures, problems with action plan for the repairs to the higher level to finalize the immediate opportunity for attending the issues.
Prepare, review and establish economic level of spares and material stock.
Ensures and supervises the effective repair planning and major overhauls to acceptable standards.
Prepare maintenance reports and check and approve the permits, purchase requisition slips, material issue slips etc.
Technical review and recommendation for all project/ Spares/ Equipments for Lime Plant related offers from the OEM Suppliers. Design review and Scope defining of the Technological Supplier. Responsible for Project planning and monitoring the execution of work.
To enforce staff disciplines and ensure high standard of maintenance housekeeping and plant cleanliness.
Performs other tasks given by superior time to time.
Evaluate the individual performance of subordinates and identify the training needs and design training program to improve the capability of each individual.
Promotes safety consciousness among the subordinates and undertakes all necessary control measures to ensure safety of equipment and personnel.
To work as per company regulations.

Junior Legal Counsel - Kuwaiti National

Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Provide proactive, solutions focused, legally sound advice and support in a timely fashion
Take the legal lead role in reviewing, drafting, negotiating and/or amending broad spectrum of commercial contracts
Advise the Company on its rights and responsibility under the applicable laws of Kuwait
Monitor trends in the local regulation that may affect the operation of the business
Provide dispute resolution advice counsel, handle and assume active involvement
