Database Administrator
About the job
Manage database systems across corporate office & business units including database storage, user access and security, procedures, tools for access, and the tuning of the databases.
Monitor database and application server performance and implement appropriate tuning changes.
Collaborate with the Systems & Network Administration team on server infrastructure design, layout and implementation.
Provide support and assistance to Application Development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of enterprise applications and systems.
Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of appropriate database systems standards, policies, and support procedures.
Participate in restore plans, control Contingency and Disaster Recovery plans and maintain system redundancy to ensure maximum running time.
Coordinate with Technical Support team to analyze system failures and take appropriate action to bring system back on-line.
Evaluate release dependencies for a variety of enterprise software systems, set up test environments, coordinate database system and application server upgrades.
Create and maintain database users with required privileges.
