Plant Engineer - Power System
Job Responsibilities:
Customer
- Ensure all customer concerns/problems are addressed and resolved amicably and promptly.
- Business Planning
- Contribute to the achievement of Power System Rental Dept. objectives and targets.
Asset Management
- Ensure cleanliness of the Rental units in the field.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and utilized effectively.
- Ensure that tools and equipment’s are adequate & well maintained for Field staff.
Operational excellence
- Maintain daily accounting for all the units in the field (on rent with customers) / yard.
- Planning/scheduling the maintenance of Rental fleet and ensure Rental units are immediately repaired and ready for delivery.
- Check field service reports/oil SOS reports and ensure rental units are properly maintained at site and are immediately repaired in case of breakdowns
- Analyze manpower requirements for the various jobs and assign the right number of technician/operators to the various jobs.
- Coordinates with Rental Sales Engineer / Supervisor to understand the customers’ requirements and arrange for the appropriate units.
- Coordinates with the Service Dept. and Power Systems Dept. for customization work.
- Ensure parts are ordered and are available for the Maintenance / repair of Rental units.
- Coordinate with the Sales Engineer / Customers on installation, commissioning, and emergency replacements.
- Reviews and maintains history of each Rental fleet unit.
- Monitoring the units with high running hours and makes recommendations for replacement/retirement of these units.
- Ensure cleanliness and safe practices for all work done at the yard.
- Monitor the offhire of units in coordination with Rental Sales and arranges for the disconnection of these units.
- Coordinate with customers/field staff on timely shut down of unit for maintenance/repair works.
Communication & teamwork
- Communicate well with peers and other team members of the department as well as with other employees of the Branch.
- Work closely with peers and develop strong synergy with Service employees.
- Product brand & Al-Bahar image
- Promote and conduct business professionally in order to protect the integrity of Caterpillar brand and Al-Bahar image.
Company policies & procedures
- Ensure all departmental activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant standing instructions and other company policies.
QHSE policy & procedures
- Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance to HSE policy to maintain a hazard and incident free environment.
- Promote awareness of the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with the work.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- 7-10 years relevant experience.
- Experience in Genset Operations, maintenance, repairs
- Having Supervisory skills for Genset fleet and man-power management

- تخطيط/جدولة صيانة أسطول التأجير والتأكد من إصلاح الوحدات المستأجرة على الفور وجاهزة للتسليم.
- التحقق من تقارير الخدمة الميدانية / تقارير استغاثة النفط والتأكد من صيانة الوحدات المستأجرة بشكل صحيح في الموقع وإصلاحها على الفور في حالة حدوث أعطال
- تحليل متطلبات القوى العاملة لمختلف الوظائف وتعيين العدد المناسب من الفنيين / المشغلين لمختلف الوظائف.
- - التنسيق مع مهندس مبيعات الإيجار / المشرف لفهم متطلبات العملاء وترتيب الوحدات المناسبة.
- يتم التنسيق مع قسم الخدمة وقسم أنظمة الطاقة لأعمال التخصيص.
- تأكد من طلب الأجزاء وتوافرها لصيانة / إصلاح الوحدات المستأجرة.
- التنسيق مع مهندس المبيعات / العملاء بشأن التثبيت والتشغيل والاستبدالات الطارئة.
- يراجع ويحافظ على تاريخ كل وحدة أسطول تأجير.
- مراقبة الوحدات ذات ساعات التشغيل العالية وتقديم توصيات لاستبدال/تقاعد هذه الوحدات.
- التأكد من النظافة والممارسات الآمنة لجميع الأعمال المنجزة في الفناء.
- مراقبة تأجير الوحدات بالتنسيق مع مبيعات الإيجار والترتيب لفصل هذه الوحدات.
- التنسيق مع العملاء/الموظفين الميدانيين بشأن إغلاق الوحدة في الوقت المناسب لأعمال الصيانة/الإصلاح.
التواصل والعمل الجماعي
- التواصل بشكل جيد مع الزملاء وأعضاء الفريق الآخرين في القسم وكذلك مع موظفي الفرع الآخرين.
- العمل بشكل وثيق مع أقرانهم وتطوير تآزر قوي مع موظفي الخدمة.
- العلامة التجارية للمنتج وصورة البحر
- الترويج للأعمال التجارية وإدارتها بشكل احترافي من أجل حماية سلامة علامة كاتربيلر التجارية وصورة البحر.
