Position Summary



Trideum Corporation has an opening for Urban Assault Coordinator (UAC) Operations / Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) Operator / Maintainer (O/M). This is a full-time position, located on the Udairi Range Complex (URC), Camp Buehring, Kuwait.


The UAC/MILES O/M provides operations support to unit-led training on TTPs utilized in an urban environment; supports the conduct of mission rehearsals, force-on-force and force-on-target exercises using MILES, blanks, man-marker rounds, or short-range training ammunition in a simulated environment. Additionally, performs preventive and corrective maintenance on multiple MILES subsystems as directed by the site lead and local supervisor.


Job Responsibilities



 Diagnosing system failures, repairing/replacing components; and system power up/power down. 
 Exposing Soldiers to the effects of Urban Assault and develop the skills necessary to react properly in a combat scenario. 
 Integrating available terrain databases to realistically replicate current operating environments and enable situational operations conducted in simulation, as well as a full range of threats. 
 Fully utilizing interfaces for team connectivity, and Urban Assault to protect against threats in a combat-related scenario. 
 Providing Soldiers with first-hand experience to increase their situational awareness of Urban Assault in a combat scenario. 
 Repair/replacement of damaged components, diagnosing system failures on the trainers, and various other TADSS. 
 Actively collaborating with rotational units to ensure the proper Instructor to trainee ratio. 
 Providing effective Urban Assault training with a standardized training platform for both classroom and simulated battlefield conditions. 
 Using system-TADSS for crews to develop and sustain individual and crew level proficiency to perform critical combat skills required IOT transition to other individual and collective training. 
 Knowledgeable with A/V equipment. 
 Effective communication to facilitate unit training objectives to develop an AAR capture plan. 
 Testing of all MILES equipment to include individual weapon systems (IWS) and vehicle kits. 
 Performing all checks, services, troubleshooting, and maintenance actions to ensure the operational status of the system and components. 
 Assisting in the review of external training programs to determine the feasibility of purchase. 
 Cross-training to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various electronic subsystems such as audio-visual, mobile microwave transmission systems, and radios 
 Serving as a technical resource across functional teams to ensure consistent knowledge of basic network architectures. 
 Employing a variety of specialized test equipment and complex electronic schematics and diagrams in conducting fault isolation, and using the data gained through the troubleshooting/repair process to prepare and revise maintenance instructions and procedures and recommend and implement manufacturer/engineering changes. 
 Creating technical field and maintenance reports as required, and completing MILES testing and system performance documentation. 
 Providing technical guidance to lower-level technicians. 
 Ensuring all maintenance, training, supply, and property processes/practices supporting site operations are implemented and documented in an enterprise maintenance system (MAXIMO). 
 Preparing training and documentation packages for subsystem cross-training. 
 Training other technicians on the use and operation of MILES equipment as necessary. 
 Performing Quality Assurance audits on documentation and providing redlines and documentation updates as necessary. 
 Other duties as assigned to include limited manual labor.
