Safeguarding Enterprise Data: Senior Backup Administrator for the Kuwaiti Oil Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backup Administrator to join a mission-critical team within Kuwait's Oil Sector. This is a high-stakes role designed for a professional who has spent over a decade perfecting the art of data protection, disaster recovery, and infrastructure stability. If you possess the technical rigor to manage complex IBM Spectrum Protect environments and the strategic mindset for multi-site replication, your expertise is needed to protect the backbone of the national energy industry.
Core Technical Responsibilities
Enterprise Administration: Lead the installation, migration, and management of IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) versions 5.x–8.x.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee IBM Tape Libraries, Data Domain, Cohesity, or equivalent high-performance backup appliances.
Optimization: Manage de-duplication, compression, and retention strategies while optimizing multi-site node replication.
Performance & Troubleshooting: Provide L3 support for backup traffic, TCP/IP connectivity issues, and root cause analysis (RCA) for failed jobs.
Disaster Recovery: Drive DR planning, execution of drills, and business continuity support for large-scale operations.
Automation & Reporting: Develop backup scripting, automation, and monthly SLA dashboards for executive review.
Requirements
Proven Experience: A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in Backup Administration within an enterprise environment.
Application Mastery: Strong experience backing up MS Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SAP, and Virtual Environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
Network & Storage: Expert knowledge of SAN/LAN-free environments and complex network troubleshooting.
Compliance: Familiarity with InfoSec coordination, audit reporting, and backup policy governance.
Cloud Knowledge: Understanding of backup concepts within Azure or AWS cloud environments.
Location: Candidates currently residing in Kuwait are preferred and will be prioritized.
Remuneration & Benefits
Basic Salary: 1,000 KWD / Month.
Allowances: 300 KWD / Month.
Total Package: 1,300 KWD / Month.

المسؤوليات التقنية الأساسية
إدارة الأنظمة: قيادة عمليات التركيب، الهجرة، والإدارة لنظام IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) من الإصدار 5.x حتى 8.x.
إدارة البنية التحتية: الإشراف على مكتبات أشرطة IBM، وأنظمة Data Domain، وCohesity، أو ما يعادلها من الأجهزة عالية الأداء.
تحسين الأداء: إدارة استراتيجيات إلغاء التكرار (Deduplication)، والضغط، والاحتفاظ بالبيانات مع تحسين تكرار العقد بين المواقع المتعددة.
استكشاف الأعطال: تقديم دعم فني من المستوى الثالث (L3) لمشاكل شبكات TCP/IP، وتحليل الأسباب الجذرية (RCA) للوظائف الفاشلة.
التعافي من الكوارث: قيادة التخطيط للتعافي من الكوارث (DR)، وتنفيذ التدريبات، ودعم استمرارية الأعمال للعمليات الضخمة.
الأتمتة والتقارير: تطوير البرمجيات النصية للنسخ الاحتياطي، والأتمتة، ولوحات معلومات تقارير SLA الشهرية.
المتطلبات
الخبرة المثبتة: خبرة لا تقل عن 15 عاماً من العمل الفعلي في إدارة النسخ الاحتياطي في بيئات الشركات الكبرى.
إتقان التطبيقات: خبرة قوية في النسخ الاحتياطي لأنظمة MS Exchange، SQL، Oracle، SAP، والبيئات الافتراضية (VMware/Hyper-V).
الشبكات والتخزين: معرفة خبيرة ببيئات SAN/LAN-free واستكشاف أخطاء الشبكات المعقدة.
الامتثال: الإلمام بمتطلبات الأمن السيبراني (InfoSec)، وتقارير التدقيق، وحوكمة سياسات النسخ الاحتياطي.
الخبرة السحابية: معرفة بمفاهيم النسخ الاحتياطي داخل بيئات Azure أو AWS.
مكان التواجد: الأولوية للمرشحين المقيمين حالياً داخل دولة الكويت.
الرواتب والمزايا
الراتب الأساسي: 1,000 دينار كويتي / شهرياً.
البدلات: 300 دينار كويتي / شهرياً.
