Senior Security Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Review and monitor the critical information systems / devices.
Evaluate systems and services to enhance the security
Conduct vulnerability assessments, IT Risk Assessments and coordinate the resolution of findings
Perform on-going maintenance of security systems
Security Log Review – Servers & Network Devices
Respond to incidents
Research security threats and identify potential solutions
Educate end-users on information security concepts
Monitor for Security Breaches constantly monitor organization’s networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
Investigate Security Breaches
Performs monitoring of network traffic logs, alerts, and usage.
Performs vulnerability testing and audits of key systems and network devices.
Monitors and addresses network vulnerabilities and exploits.
Investigates network and security-related incidents and assists with gathering relevant data to respond and/or remediate where appropriate.
Periodically validate your firewall rules to ensure new rules were not created inappropriately
Real-time event correlation is all about proactively dealing with threats. Data breaches are on the rise and hackers use highly targeted attacks to intrude upon enterprise networks and steal sensitive data. Protecting your network data from attackers involves detecting security threats at its early stage. Security investigators need to determine whether a suspicious event or chain of security events that had happened on the network is a potential security threat or not.
Manually investigating events across the network from various log sources and correlating them to formulate an attack pattern will be a herculean task for the security investigators.
To effortlessly identify the possible intrusions in the network, you need to have an automated effective correlation engine that gives a complete scope of any security incident by building relationships between events happening across your network infrastructure.
All equipment are logged and monitored in real-time. All component information is to be stored and review to analyze and assess for nefarious activity
Have in-depth knowledge with Baracuda, Arbor, Email Gateway, Nessus, Palo Alto, SIEM or other exploitation frameworks
Training Course attended such as networking, Barracuda, SIEM Testing etc…
Requirements:
B.Sc. in Computer /IT/Electronics Eng.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT.
"At least five (3) years’ experience in FortiGate firewalls - Forti-Analyzer, and Forti-manager"
"Strong experience in building and maintaining security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus, log management, content filtering, as well as security monitoring tools, and cybersecurity industry,....etc"
An understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols, in addition to new technologies ( SD-WAN technology, cloud technologies, JOT ....etc)."
