• Tracks the distribution of tools and users in a database system. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. 
• Coordinates calibration of tools and test equipment. Orders new tools and equipment as required under the KAMP Tool Control Program through the KAF Supply system.

Maintenance Control Technician Organizational Level

Ground Support Technician (GSE) 'I' Level

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

TASK REQUIREMENTS:

• Coordinates KAF computer hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, repair, problem diagnosis, and implementation.
• Assists in the processes, by which requests and inquiries related to KAF computing, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), host systems communications are received, screened, prioritized, and resolved.
• Receives calls for assistance, installations, and general maintenance; logs calls and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response with acceptable timeframes for the user community; provides management and status reports on all requests.
• Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of personal computing and network hardware and software systems; performs diagnostic tests, modifies or repairs hardware to the board or component level; gathers and records appropriate data related to these functions.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate practical knowledge of the F/A-18 and its systems.
• Minimum of one (1) year F/A-18 Plane Captain experience.
• Proficient in the use of applicable support equipment.
• Have knowledge of aircraft safety procedures.
• Proficient with VIDS/MAFs documentation and the proper procedures for completing VIDS/MAFs in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.

Airframes And Hydraulics Maintenance Instructor

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of seven (7) years' experience as an Aviation Structures and Hydraulics technician involving military aircraft.
• Advanced technical background in military aircraft maintenance to include Aviation Structures and Hydraulics system operation, servicing, and recurring inspection requirements.
• Hands-on experience in the planning of periodic maintenance requirements to include criteria, procedures, and associated documentation.
• Proven experience as a technical instructor with qualifications in Methods of Instruction.
• Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson plan design are required to adapt courses to KAF training.

• Proficient in the use of all armament tools, support equipment and publications, and capable of performing all functions required of an O-Level armament technician.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 10 years experience supporting armament supply management. A minimum of two years experience supporting F/A-18 Aircraft within the last 10 years.
• Working knowledge of the U.S. Department of Defense or Navy Supply System and related instructions. Completed a Hazardous Material Course related to shipping and handling of explosives.
• Must possess the ability to understand and read supply and aircraft publications in microfiche and written form.

Power Plants Mechanic I Level

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of four (4) years I-Level or D-Level maintenance experience supporting F404 or F414-400 Powerplants.
• Graduate of the aviation engine mechanic "A" school and F404 or F414-400 engine repair class school or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of all common and special tools required for engine assembly and disassembly.
• Have experience in operation and maintenance of Power Plant/Auxiliary Power Unit test stands/facilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures regarding aircraft Powerplants.
• Familiar with F404-GE-402 or F414-400 engine publications.
• Kuwaiti, Canadian and Australian Air Force experience is also applicable to these tasks.

Flight Equipment/OBOOGS Technician 'I' Level

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Satisfactory completion of a Military Flight Equipment School.
• A minimum of four (4) years' experience in flight equipment maintenance.
• Proficient in the use of all associated parachute rigging support equipment.
• Familiar with technical publications and maintenance record requirements.

• خريج مدرسة ميكانيكي محركات الطيران "أ" ومدرسة إصلاح محركات F404 أو F414-400 أو ما يعادلها.
• يتقن استخدام جميع الأدوات العامة والخاصة اللازمة لتجميع المحرك وتفكيكه.
