Director of Trading
JOB DESCRIPTION
This Contract position will work remotely and will provide procurement activity services to ensure that goods and services are procured according to specified quantity, quality, and cost requirements, and delivered within given timeframes including:
- Develop and direct objectives, policies, and processes regarding all procurement function.
- Review quality and maintain price controls and partner activities to identify and implement efficient purchasing programs.
- Define the price per unit of all messages including (but not limited) to SMS, MMS, Email, Voice, and all OTT channels.
- Be point of contact for Sales organisation within Soprano for pricing related queries and for Customer Support services organisation on routing and supplier related queries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement the organisation's strategic Sales/Procurement plan in line with overall business performance goals.
- Oversee the selection of reliable sources of supply and engagement of complimentary suppliers, and negotiating complex, high risk deals with key suppliers to improve value / reduce costs per unit delivered to the organisation.
- Product ownership to drive OTT supplier strategy; maintain relationships and necessary contracts required to deliver products and services in global markets.
- Define message pricing and relevant product pricing and ensure we maintain healthy gross profit (GP)%.
- Assess recommendations for process improvements and designing programs for implementing necessary process changes.
- Manage the team of traders who sell the International Connectivity products for each country and route to maximise GP $.
- Manage the Routing team who track different routes ensure quality is maintained and cost changes have minimal impact to GP $.
- Deliver Annual GP growth as set in the target communicated by the executive team.
