Job Description
- Title:
- Lead Design Engineer I - Electrical
- Lead Engineer I - Electrical
- Position reports to:
- Projects Engineering Manager
- Primary objective
- To ensure electrical design integrity whilst leading the electrical engineering group on specific projects.
Mandatory Requirements:
- B.Sc.Eng. Degree.
- At least of 15 years total post graduation experience
- At least 10 years post graduation experience in oil & gas / refinery / petrochemical industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years as Lead Design Engineer.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with software for the automation of the specialty.
- Specific Accountabilities
- Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints, and that project objectives are satisfied.
- Overall supervision of electrical engineers, designers and technical personnel in the execution of the project.
- Ensure integrity of work scope and that all work is carried our in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Manage project discipline resource requirements.
- Prepare electrical cost, time and resource requirement estimates on assigned projects.
Essential Skills/Experience
Essential:
- Excellent 2D computer design skills with AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
- Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access.
- Able to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to create accurate design drawings from base project information.
- Ability to interact effectively with people and use clear, fluent and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas.
- Knowledge of the requirements for electrical installations within hazardous areas.
Desirable:
- PMC experience would be advantageous
- Some experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS, PDMS or AutoPlant.
- Some experience with advanced electrical engineering design
- Exposure to site surveys, construction or commissioning support and Site Acceptance and Loop Testing on O&G facilities.
- Trade experience would be advantageous.

- المسؤوليات المحددة
- التأكد من تنفيذ العمل بكفاءة وفعالية، ضمن قيود الوقت والميزانية، وتحقيق أهداف المشروع.
- الإشراف العام على مهندسي الكهرباء والمصممين والموظفين الفنيين في تنفيذ المشروع.
- التأكد من سلامة نطاق العمل وأن جميع الأعمال يتم تنفيذها وفقًا للقوانين والمعايير المعمول بها.
- إدارة متطلبات موارد انضباط المشروع.
- إعداد تقديرات التكلفة الكهربائية والوقت والموارد اللازمة للمشاريع المعينة.
المهارات الأساسية / الخبرة
ضروري:
- مهارات ممتازة في تصميم الكمبيوتر ثنائي الأبعاد باستخدام AutoCAD و/أو Microstation.
- مهارات ممتازة في التعامل مع MS Excel وMS Word وMS Access.
- القدرة على تفسير الرسومات الفنية.
- القدرة على إنشاء رسومات تصميمية دقيقة من معلومات المشروع الأساسية.
- القدرة على التفاعل بفعالية مع الناس واستخدام لغة لفظية ومكتوبة واضحة وطلاقة ومعبرة لنقل المعلومات والأفكار.
- - معرفة متطلبات التركيبات الكهربائية داخل المناطق الخطرة.
مرغوب فيه:
- ستكون تجربة PMC مفيدة
- بعض الخبرة في أنظمة النمذجة ثلاثية الأبعاد مثل PDS أو PDMS أو AutoPlant.
- بعض الخبرة في التصميم الهندسي الكهربائي المتقدم
- التعرض لمسوحات الموقع ودعم البناء أو التشغيل وقبول الموقع واختبار الحلقة في مرافق النفط والغاز.
- الخبرة التجارية ستكون مفيدة.
