Mathematics Teacher for learning difficulties
Key Responsibilities:
1- Individualized Instruction:
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans tailored to the needs of students with dyscalculia.
- Use specialized teaching techniques and tools to help students grasp fundamental mathematical concepts.
- Break down complex math problems into simpler, manageable steps to support comprehension.
2- Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Assess students' mathematical abilities and identify specific areas of difficulty related to dyscalculia.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting instruction methods and strategies accordingly.
- Provide detailed reports on student progress and areas for further development.
3- Classroom Management:
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that fosters patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
- Manage classroom activities to engage students in interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
4- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and school psychologists to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s education.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies to support learning at home.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights into the student’s progress and needs.
5- Resource Development:
- Develop and utilize teaching aids, visual supports, and technology to enhance mathematical learning.
- Stay updated on the latest research and methodologies related to teaching students with dyscalculia and other learning disabilities.
6- Professional Development:
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth in the areas of special education, dyscalculia, and innovative teaching strategies.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and seminars to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certification in teaching students with learning disabilities is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with students with learning disabilities, particularly dyscalculia.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of dyscalculia and its impact on learning mathematics.
- Ability to create and implement individualized instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in using technology and digital tools to support learning.

بدأت الجمعية الكويتية للدسلكسيا العمل في مجال صعوبات التعلم الخاصة (الدسلكسيا) في عام 1999، وكانت في ذلك الوقت لجنة تابعة لصندوق إعانة المرضى، وكانت تسمى الجمعية الكويتية للدسلكسيا.
واستمرت في مد يد العون لمن يعانون من عسر القراءة، ومساعدتهم بالاستشارات والتطورات في هذا المجال، والإشراف على علاجهم.
وتوعية المجتمع بها، حتى تم الإعلان عن إنشائها باسم الجمعية الكويتية للدسلكسيا بتاريخ 14/12/2005م، وتم إشهارها بالقرار الوزاري رقم 137/2005م.
تأسست جمعية صعوبات التعلم (الدسلكسيا) بموجب القرار الجمهوري رقم 12/2006، والمنشور في الجريدة الرسمية، العدد 756، بتاريخ 19/2/2006، كجمعية ذات نفع عام متخصصة في مجال صعوبات التعلم بصفة عامة وعسر القراءة (الدسلكسيا) بصفة خاصة.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:
1- التعليم الفردي:
- تطوير وتنفيذ خطط تعليمية مخصصة تتناسب مع احتياجات الطلاب الذين يعانون من عسر الحساب.
- استخدام تقنيات وأدوات التدريس المتخصصة لمساعدة الطلاب على فهم المفاهيم الرياضية الأساسية.
- قم بتقسيم مسائل الرياضيات المعقدة إلى خطوات أبسط وأكثر قابلية للإدارة لدعم الفهم.
2- التقييم ورصد التقدم:
- تقييم قدرات الطلاب في الرياضيات وتحديد مجالات معينة من الصعوبة المرتبطة بعسر الحساب.
- مراقبة وتقييم تقدم الطلاب بشكل منتظم، وتعديل أساليب واستراتيجيات التدريس وفقًا لذلك.
- تقديم تقارير مفصلة عن تقدم الطلاب والمجالات التي تحتاج إلى المزيد من التطوير.
3- إدارة الصف الدراسي:
- إنشاء بيئة صفية شاملة وداعمة تعزز الصبر والتشجيع والدعم الإيجابي.
- إدارة الأنشطة الصفية لإشراك الطلاب في تجارب تعليمية تفاعلية وعملية.
4- التعاون والتواصل:
- التعاون مع فرق التعليم الخاص ومعلمي الفصول الدراسية وعلماء النفس المدرسيين لضمان اتباع نهج شامل لتعليم الطالب.
- التواصل بانتظام مع أولياء الأمور ومقدمي الرعاية فيما يتعلق بتقدم الطلاب والتحديات والاستراتيجيات لدعم التعلم في المنزل.
- المشاركة في اجتماعات برنامج التعليم الفردي (IEP)، وتوفير رؤى حول تقدم الطالب واحتياجاته.
5- تنمية الموارد:
- تطوير واستخدام الوسائل التعليمية والدعم البصري والتكنولوجيا لتعزيز التعلم الرياضي.
- احصل على آخر الأبحاث والمنهجيات المتعلقة بتعليم الطلاب الذين يعانون من عسر الحساب وصعوبات التعلم الأخرى.
6- التطوير المهني:
- البحث المستمر عن فرص النمو المهني في مجالات التعليم الخاص، وعسر الحساب، واستراتيجيات التدريس المبتكرة.
- حضور ورش العمل وجلسات التدريب والندوات لتحسين مهارات التدريس والبقاء على اطلاع بأفضل الممارسات.
المؤهلات:
التعليم: درجة البكالوريوس في التربية الخاصة أو الرياضيات أو مجال ذي صلة. يفضل الحصول على درجة الماجستير أو شهادة في تدريس الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم.
الخبرة: خبرة لا تقل عن 2-3 سنوات في العمل مع الطلاب ذوي صعوبات التعلم، وخاصة عسر الحساب.
مهارات:
- فهم قوي لمرض عسر الحساب وأثره على تعلم الرياضيات.
- القدرة على إنشاء وتنفيذ استراتيجيات تعليمية فردية.
- مهارات ممتازة في التواصل والتعامل مع الآخرين للعمل بشكل فعال مع الطلاب وأولياء الأمور والزملاء.
- - إتقان استخدام التكنولوجيا والأدوات الرقمية لدعم التعلم.
