About this role:
Isovalent is seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of passionate engineers. The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our innovative networking, security and observability solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software engineering, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products and be very familiar with Linux networking.
We are seeking candidates located either on America’s East Coast or in Europe. This preference is to ensure alignment with our team's working hours and facilitate collaboration across time zones
A typical day:
Grow and mentor software engineers and technical leaders
Deliver continuous feedback and performance review of engineers, with input from vertical leads and senior leadership
Track progress on projects, help engineers grow their project management skills
Preserve the engineering culture as we scale out the team
Being a role model of company culture and values
Job Requirements
Your Expertise:
Strong technical background and good understanding of cloud native technologies
Knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes and the networking stack
Software engineering experience
Experience of interacting and working with customers
Experience managing independent, strong, and diverse teams
Strong understanding of customer value
