Job Title: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor in Chemistry
About the Job
The College of Engineering and Technology at AUM is recruiting full-time faculty members for Assistant/Associate Professors in Chemistry to start from Spring/Fall Semester 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach and conduct research in one of the top universities in Kuwait, ranked #1 in the country and among the top 500 globally according to QS and THE World University Rankings.
Job Requirements
- A PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Excellent publication record, especially in the last five years.
- Demonstrable research capabilities and a commitment to academic achievements.
- Strong ability to publish research findings in refereed journals.
- Solid commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate level.
- Ability to prepare teaching materials and maintain competence in subjects being taught.
- Academic experience and ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.
- Industry experience is an added advantage.
Required Areas of Expertise
In addition to the general requirements, successful applicants should have teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas:
- Chemical structure and reactivity
- Quantum chemistry and spectroscopy
- Chemometrics

تقوم كلية الهندسة والتكنولوجيا في AUM بتوظيف أعضاء هيئة تدريس بدوام كامل لوظيفة أستاذ مساعد/أستاذ مشارك في الكيمياء ابتداءً من فصل الربيع/الخريف 2025. توفر هذه الوظيفة فرصة مثيرة للتدريس وإجراء البحوث في واحدة من أفضل الجامعات في الكويت، التي تم تصنيفها كأفضل جامعة في البلاد وأحد أفضل 500 جامعة على مستوى العالم حسب تصنيفات QS وTHE.
متطلبات الوظيفة
- درجة الدكتوراه في الكيمياء أو مجال ذي صلة من جامعة معتمدة دوليًا.
- سجل نشر متميز، خاصة في السنوات الخمس الأخيرة.
- قدرة بحثية قابلة للقياس والتزام بالإنجازات الأكاديمية.
- قدرة قوية على نشر نتائج البحث في المجلات المحكمة.
- التزام قوي بالتدريس الممتاز وإرشاد الطلاب على مستوى البكالوريوس.
- القدرة على تحضير المواد الدراسية والحفاظ على الكفاءة في الموضوعات التي يتم تدريسها.
- خبرة أكاديمية والقدرة على العمل في بيئة متعددة التخصصات وسريعة الوتيرة.
- مهارات تواصل قوية باللغتين الشفوية والمكتوبة بالإنجليزية.
- الخبرة في الصناعة ميزة إضافية.
