Job Duties
- Under broad direction, provides well site service to customers of Baroid.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of colloidal and general chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations and routine and specialized testing to varied field experiences.
- Provides guidance, including facilitating formal training, to fluid service representatives on company products and services, how drilling fluid technology can optimize service quality, industry knowledge, rig schedules, and rig operations.
- Conducts and interprets routine and specialized testing that provide technical guidance of Baroid&aposs customized engineering fluids to maximize wellbore value.
- Tracks material usage and maintains record of same for inventory and billing purposes.
- Maintains good working relationship with operator&aposs representative and rig personnel.
Service Specialist I-Artificial Lift
Job Duties
- Under general supervision, performs Artificial Lift (AL) installations and pulls, routine checks, and troubleshooting.
- Provides instruction and technical support to customer personnel in the proper handling and operating procedures of ALs. Performs basic well production analysis and repair of AL equipment and tests, splices, and repairs cable.
- Prepares paperwork to include IFTA reports, billable and non-billable hours, and mileage.
- Trains and coaches new hires in basic principles. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain mechanical performance of truck used in transportation to and from the field.
- Train and mentor lower level technicians at the well site. Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school or similar education and 3 to 4 years of experience in artificial lift operations.
AL08-ESG-Svc Spec I-Artificial Lift
