Medical Devices Integration Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards
- To support end user for medical devices integration related issues.
- To use the new advance technology to integration new medical device for EMR/PACS.
- To assist PACS Admin for EMR/PACS & IT related work.
- Integration process requirement and documentation for new medical devices procurement with purchase department & Cerner.
- To support day to day operations for medical Equipment including EMR/PACS workflow, image archiving, automation etc.
- To ensure all medical device interface into EMR/PACS system functions 24hrs and availability to end users.
- Troubleshooting of Hardware & Software problems for EMR/PACS.
- Medical device network configuration & troubleshoot network problems if any.
- Proactive monitoring of all medical device application and services.
- To assist IT Department in new various IT project, shows the skill as and when required.
- To provide training to end-users after implemented new medical device integration project.
- Ensures all applicable department, hospital, and Accreditation guidelines are met.
- Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
- Provides and promotes people centered care.
- Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
Qualifications, Competences and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Biomedical Engineering Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years’ experience within a hospital, medical center and IT & Biomedical Engineering department for medical device integration.
- Licensure: Not Applicable
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English Languages
- Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Hardware & software installation, troubleshooting etc.
Performance Competencies
- Knowledge of system utility programs
- Current operating systems function and systems software
- User applications
- Ability to communicate orally with staff, clients, or the public in face-to-face one-on-one settings, or using a telephone.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships by working cooperatively with others.
- Use discretion in the handling of confidential data

- لدعم العمليات اليومية للمعدات الطبية بما في ذلك سير عمل EMR/PACS، وأرشفة الصور، والأتمتة وما إلى ذلك.
- لضمان تكامل جميع الأجهزة الطبية مع نظام EMR/PACS على مدار 24 ساعة وتوافرها للمستخدمين النهائيين.
- استكشاف أخطاء الأجهزة والبرامج وإصلاحها لـ EMR/PACS.
- تكوين شبكة الأجهزة الطبية واستكشاف مشاكل الشبكة وإصلاحها إن وجدت.
- المراقبة الاستباقية لجميع تطبيقات وخدمات الأجهزة الطبية.
- لمساعدة قسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات في مشاريع تكنولوجيا المعلومات الجديدة المختلفة، وإظهار المهارة عند الحاجة إليها.
- توفير التدريب للمستخدمين النهائيين بعد تنفيذ مشروع تكامل الأجهزة الطبية الجديدة.
- ضمان استيفاء جميع الإرشادات المعمول بها في الأقسام والمستشفيات والاعتماد.
- ضمان اتباع ممارسات الجودة وسلامة المرضى.
- توفير وتعزيز الرعاية التي تركز على الناس.
- تعزيز الصحة الشاملة من خلال توفير رعاية عادلة ومتاحة للمرضى والأسر ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
المؤهلات والكفاءات والمهارات
- التعليم: درجة البكالوريوس في تكنولوجيا المعلومات / الهندسة الطبية الحيوية أو هندسة الكمبيوتر أو علوم الكمبيوتر أو ما يعادلها.
- الخبرة: 1-2 سنة خبرة في مستشفى أو مركز طبي أو قسم تكنولوجيا المعلومات والهندسة الطبية الحيوية لدمج الأجهزة الطبية.
- الترخيص: غير قابل للتطبيق
- اللغة: إجادة اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية
- كفاءة الكمبيوتر: الكفاءة في تثبيت الأجهزة والبرامج، واستكشاف الأخطاء وإصلاحها وما إلى ذلك.
