Safety Superintendent
Company Description
- Burgan Company for Well Drilling, Trading & Maintenance K.S.C.C is the largest oil drilling company in Kuwait and one of the leading oil drilling companies in the Middle East.
- With a longstanding relationship with Kuwait Oil Company and its parent,
- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Burgan Drilling specializes in onshore exploration services, development services for new oil wells, and oilfield services.
Role Description
- The Safety Superintendent is responsible to ensure that Safety Systems and Programs outlined on his/her assigned rigs are implemented and functioning effectively as per the Burgan Company HSE Management System.
- These duties include monitoring the job performance of the Safety Officer assigned to these rigs, educating, and mentoring the individuals in their roles as Safety Officers.
- To advise the assigned Safety Officers on QHSE matters and to provide QHSE support on-site as required. Safety Superintendents are responsible for taking the lead in auditing and providing reports back to management regarding the implementation of Safety Systems and programs at their rig’s worksites.
Qualifications
- A minimum of six years’ experience in a similar position of which a minimum of 3 years should be in the oil field.
- Operational experience is an asset
- Should have hands on experience in QHSE auditing and audit report preparation.
- Should have experience in the use of problem solving and motivational techniques
- Higher secondary education
- Diploma in Safety Management or qualification from IOSH or NEBOSH or similar reputed organization.
- Above average computer skills.
- Formal training in Incident investigation and report writing preferably certification in Taproot Investigation.
- Must possess a valid H2S Training Certificate.

- يقع على عاتق مشرف السلامة مسؤولية التأكد من أن أنظمة وبرامج السلامة الموضحة على منصات الحفر المخصصة له يتم تنفيذها وتعمل بشكل فعال وفقًا لنظام إدارة الصحة والسلامة والبيئة في شركة برقان.
- تتضمن هذه الواجبات مراقبة أداء وظيفة مسؤول السلامة المخصص لهذه المنصات، وتثقيف الأفراد وتوجيههم في أدوارهم كمسؤولي سلامة.
- تقديم المشورة لمسؤولي السلامة المعينين بشأن مسائل الصحة والسلامة والبيئة والجودة وتوفير الدعم في مجال الصحة والسلامة والبيئة والجودة في الموقع حسب الحاجة. ويتولى مشرفو السلامة مسؤولية تولي زمام المبادرة في التدقيق وتقديم التقارير إلى الإدارة فيما يتعلق بتنفيذ أنظمة وبرامج السلامة في مواقع عمل حفاراتهم.
المؤهلات
- - خبرة لا تقل عن ست سنوات في منصب مماثل، منها ثلاث سنوات على الأقل في مجال النفط.
- الخبرة التشغيلية هي أحد الأصول
- يجب أن يكون لديه خبرة عملية في التدقيق في مجال الجودة والصحة والسلامة والبيئة وإعداد تقارير التدقيق.
- يجب أن يكون لديه خبرة في استخدام تقنيات حل المشكلات والتحفيز
- التعليم الثانوي العالي
- دبلوم في إدارة السلامة أو مؤهل من IOSH أو NEBOSH أو منظمة مماثلة ذات سمعة طيبة.
- مهارات الكمبيوتر فوق المتوسطة.
- تدريب رسمي في التحقيق في الحوادث وكتابة التقارير ويفضل الحصول على شهادة في Taproot Investigation.
- يجب أن يكون حاصلًا على شهادة تدريب H2S صالحة.
