Commercial Manager – Fresh Food

Role Profile:

• Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.

• Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.

• Source the best quality products for competitive prices, aligning with the organization’s objectives.

• Develop cost scenario analysis and benchmarking for the sourcing function when required.

• Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.

• Oversee communication with suppliers on quality-related issues and propose areas for improvement.

• Ensure clarity in specifications and expectations of the sourcing function through communication with relevant stakeholders.

• Research and suggest new suppliers to achieve long-term cost savings or quality improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant field.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position, with retail experience a must.

• Specialized in Fresh Food departments (F&V, Butchery, and Fishery).

• Strong business communication and negotiation skills.

• Excellent knowledge of importing and sourcing channels.

• Full proficiency in both English and Arabic.

 Sous Chef

Role Profile:

• Supervise, develop, and manage the performance of all culinary staff.

• Foster good morale within the kitchen to promote a successful team environment.

• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations daily.

• Ensure smooth daily operations and consistent food quality aligned with VOX Standards.

• Ensure staff hygiene standards are met and maintained.

• Offer alternatives or modify menu items based on guests' special dietary needs and requirements.

• Ensure food preparations achieve maximum yield and minimum wastage in line with food cost targets to maximize revenue.

• Stay updated on product knowledge, including dietary types of all foods, plating, and cooking methods.

Requirements:

• Completed chef training or culinary course for at least one year.

• Experience in a 5-star hotel chain preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the Middle East.

• Previous experience in a Sous Chef position or similar role.

• Leadership and training skills.

• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications and inventory systems.
