• In 1963, Dar Al Shifa Hospital (DASH) was established as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. Originally, it was a maternity hospital located in Sharq, Kuwait city. Since that time, the hospital became a leading healthcare organization in the region.

• In 2003, shift in location allowed for an increase in both the inpatient beds and the outpatient clinics and eventually boosted the capacity to serve a wider segment of the population.
• Dar Al Shifa Hospital is 230 bedded accredited facility constitutes of inpatient rooms (Imperial, Royal, Junior and Standard), labour rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Also, it has well-equipped ancillary services with the latest technologies.

• Over the last few years, DASH has proved itself as a trustworthy organization in which patient/family-centred care is provided through a competent and diverse team of health care professionals utilizing the latest technology and applying evidence-based practices. Another significant achievement of DASH is attaining recognized international accreditation and awards from Accreditation Canada and the American College of Radiology. Also has been the first in the country to attain of HIMSS 7 certification for inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Today, DASH is continuously growing and evolving as a distinguished health care organization with a focus on providing comprehensive and specialized services to meet the needs of the community.

Receptionist

Purpose and Scope of the Job

• Reception staff need to serve the patient in Perform specified routine procedures such as greeting, directing patients, answering routine/administrative inquiries and billing process and providing a unique service and care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

• Greets patient & visitors, initiate registration process, and provides routine information about his / her working area when necessary.
• Handles phone enquiries from patients and others and communicating through emails.
• Reviews patients registration data for cash and insurance patients
• Counsels patients and families regarding financial issues such as insurance, eligibility for assistance and verifies insurance coverage with insurance companies.
• Records patient billing codes and obtains signatures forms.
• Responds as appropriate to enquiries from patients and coordinates the resolution of related problems.

Qualifications, Competences and Skills

• Education: A Bachelor degree in any discipline
• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Licensure: Not Applicable
• Language: Good in Arabic and English Languages.
• Computer Proficiency: Good in word and outlook

• يجب على موظفي الاستقبال خدمة المريض من خلال أداء إجراءات روتينية محددة مثل الترحيب وتوجيه المرضى والإجابة على الاستفسارات الإلكترونية/الإدارية الروتينية وعملية الفواتير وتقديم خدمة ورعاية فريدة من نوعها.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية/معايير الأداء

• يستقبل المرضى والزوار، ويبدأ عملية التسجيل، ويقدم معلومات روتينية حول منطقة عمله عند الضرورة.
• يتعامل مع استفسارات الهاتف من المرضى وغيرهم والتواصل عبر البريد الإلكتروني.
• مراجعة بيانات تسجيل المرضى للمرضى النقديين والتأمينيين
• تقديم المشورة للمرضى وأسرهم فيما يتعلق بالقضايا المالية مثل التأمين وأهلية الحصول على المساعدة والتحقق من التغطية التأمينية مع شركات التأمين.
• تسجيل رموز فواتير المرضى والحصول على نماذج التوقيعات.
• الرد على استفسارات المرضى بالشكل المناسب وتنسيق حل المشاكل ذات الصلة.

المؤهلات والكفاءات والمهارات

• التعليم: درجة البكالوريوس في أي تخصص
• الخبرة: سنة واحدة على الأقل
• الترخيص: غير قابل للتطبيق
• اللغة: جيد في اللغتين العربية والانجليزية.
