Biomedical Engineer
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for the procurement, support and special equipment to be installed.
- Responsible for installation (pre & post) of all biomedical equipment as per all international & manufacturer safety standards, software and give live demonstrations to staff.
- Responsible and make sure that all the machines & equipment’s installed in the hospital as per all international, manufacturer, MOH standards, and store data/report about them in the computer. Safekeeping operator and service manuals/CD/DVD’s, Software CD/DVD’s or any related accessories or parts or calibrating tools.
- As per guidance by the Head of Biomedical Engineering to be consultant for suppliers of spare parts, following the medical and service contracts and dealing with companies and suppliers of medical equipment and making comparison between them to provide it to the hospital administrator.
- To ensure quality control for all medical equipment being used in the hospital as per international safety standard. Also providing or arrange time to time operator or application training to equipment users and ensuring all patient safety is met as per the international standards.
- To take good care of the biomedical equipment’s by doing a daily maintenance check, take immediate actions on maintenance requests received and work as a team with the maintenance supervisor & technician.
- Aim for continuous development and improvement to reach high level of technology.
- Provide input in department as per guidelines used of medical equipment’s on the preparation of policies and procedures addressing standard supplies of all biomedical equipment.
- Responsible for any medical equipment taken out of the hospital for maintenance, the same should be informed to the coordinator.
- Responsible for training the staff in the hospital to use the medical equipment in the right manner and to maintain it in good condition.
- Responsible for safekeeping all Bio-medical testing equipment and follow up the calibration as per manufacturer’s recommendations.

IT Technical Support Officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards:
- Set up and configure desktop computers, Printers, IP Phones, IPTVs, QMS, peripherals, user accounts, Email Accounts and assigning security levels, network access, etc. Investigate hardware problems and perform minor system hardware and communication connection repairs. Performs basic diagnostic testing. Major problems or repairs are directed to outside vendors.
- Provide first-level support for computer software and Clinic technology equipment used.
- Respond to incoming calls requesting technical support assistance and take necessary steps to resolve issues in a timely manner.
