Payroll Officer
JOB PURPOSE:
- The purpose of the Payroll Officer is to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee payroll.
- This role is responsible for preparing and validating payroll data; managing salaries, leave, indemnity, deductions, benefits, and insurance; maintaining employee payroll records; and supporting monthly and year-end payroll closing activities.
- The role helps maintain strong payroll controls, supports compliance with labor laws, and ensures employees are paid accurately and on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Operations & Daily Payroll Processing
- • Process end-to-end payroll including salaries, leave settlements, indemnities, commissions, deductions, and benefits.
- • Create and update payroll-related liability accounts (e.g., salaries payable, leave provision, indemnity provision).
- • Prepare payroll adjustments, retro entries, and advance salary entries where applicable.
- • Handle intercompany payroll transactions and ensure accurate cost center allocations.
- • Maintain and reconcile payroll summaries and payroll control accounts.
Payroll Reporting and Analysis
- • Support the preparation of payroll reports, summaries, and dashboards for management review.
- • Track payroll-related expenses and trends to assist in budgeting and financial planning.
- • Provide accurate payroll data to Finance and FP&A teams for analysis and decision-making.
- • Assist in reconciling payroll reports with accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance
Employee Benefits, Insurance & Compliance
- • Administer medical and life insurance enrollments, renewals, additions, and removals.
- • Ensure accurate payroll deductions related to insurance premiums and employee contributions.
- • Coordinate with Finance to provide required debit and credit notes related to insurance and payroll costs.
- • Ensure payroll processes comply with company policies and applicable labor laws (Kuwait / UAE, as applicable).
Payroll Queries & Stakeholder Coordination
- • Address employee payroll-related inquiries including salary discrepancies, deductions, commissions, and benefits.
- • Prepare salary certificates and embassy letters.
- • Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, HR, IT, Operations) for payroll processing, approvals, and cost allocation.
- • Ensure proper documentation and communication with internal stakeholders to support smooth payroll operations.
Solution Architect- Azure Cloud
Technical Skills Required
Strong knowledge of Azure services:
- Compute: Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions
- Integration: API Management, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Storage: Blob, SQL, Cosmos DB
- Identity: Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access
- Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Application Insights
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Hands-on with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevSecOps.
- Experience in building secure, PCI-DSS compliant cloud solutions.
- Scripting experience: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services: Azure AD, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, App Services, AKS, Functions, Blob Storage, SQL/NoSQL DBs, etc.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud, networking, security, identity, and governance in Azure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
