🏗 Procurement & Planning Engineer – Amghara, Kuwait
Company: Gulf Center United Industrial Equipment Co.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Planning Engineer to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will manage procurement processes and develop execution plans for projects involving structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment. Responsibilities include sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, managing logistics (local & international), and ensuring timely delivery aligned with project requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive material take-off lists and BOQs from the Quantity Surveyor
Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) to local and international suppliers
Collect, compare, and organize supplier quotations for commercial evaluation
Develop and maintain detailed process plans covering all stages (receiving, storage, fabrication, welding, inspection, delivery)
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2–10 years of experience in procurement, planning, or technical office roles within industrial or fabrication sector
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Good understanding of INCOTERMS and international trade regulations
Knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment
Familiarity with local and international suppliers and logistics providers
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus
Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
