Senior Materials Engineer - Kuwait

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managerial Duties:

Implement section’s policies, goals, objectives and procedures and support in their development as needed.

Oversee the implementation of operations plan, policies, procedures and transition/ migration plans.

Support Department Manager in management of resources, cost control and budgeting.

Technical Duties:

• Respond to customers’ inquiries concerning testing progress and reporting.
• Prepare and initially check material testing reports prior to their submission for approval by the Materials Department Manager.
• Follow-up laboratory tests of various construction materials including soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, steel, tile, kerbstone ...etc.
• Analyze test data and conduct corrective action to prevent non-conforming products.
• Set materials testing schedules and supervise work performed by materials testing technicians.
• Prepare and provide quotes and bids on material testing and special inspection work.
• Conduct materials testing and special inspection reports and communicate results to Department Manager, client, contractor and other relevant parties.
• Ensure tests are carried out in accordance with relevant standard test methods and according to agreed customers’ requirements.
• Conduct analysis as required after receiving tests results from technicians and ensure its compliance with national and international standards.

الواجبات والمسؤوليات:

المهام الإدارية:

تنفيذ سياسات القسم وأهدافه وأغراضه وإجراءاته ودعم تطويرها حسب الحاجة.

الإشراف على تنفيذ خطة العمليات والسياسات والإجراءات وخطط الانتقال/الهجرة.

مدير قسم الدعم في إدارة الموارد ومراقبة التكاليف والميزانية.

المهام الفنية:

• الرد على استفسارات العملاء فيما يتعلق بتقدم الاختبار وإعداد التقارير.
• إعداد تقارير اختبار المواد والتحقق منها مبدئيًا قبل تقديمها للموافقة عليها من قبل مدير قسم المواد.
• متابعة الفحوصات المخبرية لمواد البناء المختلفة بما في ذلك التربة والركام والخرسانة والإسفلت والصلب والبلاط وحجر الأرصفة ... إلخ.
• تحليل بيانات الاختبار وإجراء الإجراءات التصحيحية لمنع المنتجات غير المطابقة.
• وضع جداول اختبار المواد والإشراف على العمل الذي يقوم به فنيو اختبار المواد.
• إعداد وتقديم عروض الأسعار والعطاءات الخاصة باختبار المواد وأعمال التفتيش الخاصة.
• إجراء اختبارات المواد وتقارير التفتيش الخاصة وإبلاغ النتائج إلى مدير القسم والعميل والمقاول والأطراف الأخرى ذات الصلة.
• التأكد من إجراء الاختبارات وفقًا لطرق الاختبار القياسية ذات الصلة ووفقًا لمتطلبات العملاء المتفق عليها.
• إجراء التحليلات اللازمة بعد استلام نتائج الاختبارات من الفنيين والتأكد من مطابقتها للمعايير الوطنية والدولية.
