In 1963, Dar Al Shifa Hospital (DASH) was established as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. Originally, it was a maternity hospital located in Sharq, Kuwait city. Since that time, the hospital became a leading healthcare organization in the region. ↔️
In 2003, shift in location allowed for an increase in both the inpatient beds and the outpatient clinics and eventually boosted the capacity to serve a wider segment of the population.
Dar Al Shifa Hospital is 230 bedded accredited facility constitutes of inpatient rooms (Imperial, Royal, Junior and Standard), labour rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Also, it has well-equipped ancillary services with the latest technologies.
Over the last few years, DASH has proved itself as a trustworthy organization in which patient/family-centred care is provided through a competent and diverse team of health care professionals utilizing the latest technology and applying evidence-based practices. Another significant achievement of DASH is attaining recognized international accreditation and awards from Accreditation Canada and the American College of Radiology. Also has been the first in the country to attain of HIMSS 7 certification for inpatient and outpatient setting.

Assistant Nurse
1. Clinical Responsibilities
- Prevent the spread of infection at home, in the client’s room.
- each and aware family members on all safety measures to be taken for the new born or the elderly patient.
- Document all activities done on the patient data sheet.
- Inform the supervisors and families in case of any changes or deterioration in the client’s condition.
- Bath the client (new born, bed ridden, ambulatory patient)
- Dress the client (from assisting to total dependent dressing)
- Assist the patient to eliminate his feces (assisting with bedpans and urinals, providing incontinent care as needed, assisting patient to bathroom)
- Do the bedding for bed-ridden patients.
- Catheter care (emptying drainage bags, recording intake and output)
- Assist in feeding (feeding patient, serving meals, assisting with hydration needs, prepare formulas for new born)
- Help with Range of motion exercises and position the patient when needed to prevent bedsores.
- Assist in ambulation or transporting patient in wheelchair and ambulation with walkers and canes.
- Organize patient’s room, preserve his personal belonging.
- Read for the patient if required.
- Perform Post mortem care when needed.
- Report any misuse or damage of any instrument or equipment used.
2. Management Responsibilities
- Charge all consumables used.
- Confine to the borrow-lend procedure for all leased equipment.
- Offer Patient and family education when needed.
- Establish a good communication with patient and family.
- Check the emergency kit/nursing bag on daily basis and replace used items.
- Manage patients with infectious diseases when applicable.

ممرضة مساعدة
1. المسؤوليات السريرية
- منع انتشار العدوى في المنزل، وفي غرفة العميل.
- توعية كل أفراد الأسرة بجميع إجراءات السلامة التي يجب اتخاذها للمولود الجديد أو المريض المسن.
- توثيق جميع الأنشطة التي تم القيام بها في ورقة بيانات المريض.
- إبلاغ المشرفين والأسر في حال حدوث أي تغيرات أو تدهور في حالة العميل.
- استحمام العميل (المولود الجديد، طريح الفراش، المريض المتحرك)
- تلبيس العميل (من المساعدة إلى ارتداء الملابس المعتمدة كليًا)
- مساعدة المريض على التخلص من برازه (المساعدة في استخدام أوعية التبول والمباول، وتوفير الرعاية اللازمة لمن يعانون من سلس البول، ومساعدة المريض على الذهاب إلى الحمام)
- تجهيز الفراش للمرضى الذين يرقدون على الفراش.
- العناية بالقسطرة (تفريغ أكياس الصرف، وتسجيل المدخل والمخرج)
- المساعدة في التغذية (تغذية المريض، تقديم الوجبات، المساعدة في احتياجات الترطيب، تحضير التركيبات للمواليد الجدد)
- المساعدة في تمارين نطاق الحركة ووضع المريض عند الحاجة لمنع تقرحات الفراش.
- المساعدة في المشي أو نقل المريض على الكرسي المتحرك والمشي باستخدام المشايات والعصي.
- تنظيم غرفة المريض، والحفاظ على أغراضه الشخصية.
- إقرأ للمريض إذا لزم الأمر.
- أداء الرعاية بعد الوفاة عند الحاجة.
- الإبلاغ عن أي سوء استخدام أو ضرر لأي أداة أو معدات مستخدمة.
2. مسؤوليات الإدارة
- قم بشحن جميع المواد الاستهلاكية المستخدمة.
- يقتصر الأمر على إجراء الإقراض والإقتراض لجميع المعدات المستأجرة.
- تقديم التثقيف للمريض والأسرة عند الحاجة.
- إقامة تواصل جيد مع المريض وعائلته.
- قم بفحص حقيبة الطوارئ/الرضاعة بشكل يومي وقم باستبدال العناصر المستخدمة.
- إدارة المرضى المصابين بالأمراض المعدية عند الحاجة.
