Remote Turret Field Service Representative (Electrical Focus)

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Turret FSR with advanced electrical expertise to join our team in supporting a fleet of APCs equipped with Remote Turret Systems. 
• The ideal candidate will excel in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all aspects of systems, with a particular focus on their electrical components, wiring, surveillance, and communication technologies. 
• The ideal candidate will learn to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the systems and their associated vehicles and provide technical support and training to customers and users, focusing on system readiness. 
• This role requires a background in military vehicles and equipment, remote weapons stations and remote turrets, various weapons platforms, electrical systems, surveillance and communications systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities: 

• · Install, integrate, and test Remote Turret systems on armored personal carriers, emphasizing electronics, wiring harnesses, and Power/Signal distribution for remote weapon stations. 
• · Diagnose and repair electrical faults in fire control systems, including circuits, sensors, and controls. 
• · Fabricate, modify, and troubleshoot custom electrical cable harnesses and mil-spec multi-pin connectors.
• · Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on electrical components, ensuring optimal performance of sighting systems (e.g., Day Cameras, thermal imagers, laser range finders, etc.) and integrated communication equipment. 
• · Perform maintenance and testing on various weapons platforms associated with the Turret systems.
• · Conduct formal and informal training for the customer on the systems on an ongoing basis. 
• · Assist all teammates and FSRs with maintenance tasks outside your general scope as needed when the situation demands it.
• · Operate and maintain simulation systems and equipment associated with the vehicle and turret systems.
• · Maintain accurate documentation of all work using systems PMIS platforms. 
• · Ensure compliance with safety standards while working with high-voltage systems, hazardous materials, and weapons platforms.

Qualifications: 

• · 5+ years of experience in turret maintenance, or Combat vehicle systems, or sensor and communication repair with a strong focus on electrical and mechanical fault isolation, repair, and testing. 
• · Proficiency in turret electronics, including fire control systems, day cameras, thermal imagers, laser range finders, LSA, shot detection, target tracking, and force tracking. 
• · Proficiency in various turret weapons (e.g., 7.62, 12.7, 25mm, 30mm cannons).
• · Ability to interpret and use all types of engineering drawings and schematics. 
• · Working understanding of CAN Bus communication protocols, including diagnostics and troubleshooting. 

• · Hands-on experience with using and operating Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). 
• · Proven ability to fabricate and repair wiring harnesses and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems. 
• · Strong knowledge of C4ISR electronics, IT networking, or electro-mechanical systems troubleshooting. 
• · Familiarity with TM10-30 manuals to troubleshoot and repair.
• · Certifications in turret systems maintenance, small arms proficiency and repair, Sensor repair, communication system repair, IT and networking, or related fields preferred. 

Skills & Attributes: 

• · Experience in the Middle East or similar operational theaters is a plus. 
• · Should have a working understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to help multidisciplined teammates when needed.
• · Exceptional attention to detail in electrical troubleshooting and repair. 
• · Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• · Must be computer literate and capable of creating formal reports, emails, and briefings. 
• · Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• · Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a multidisciplinary team. 
• · Adaptable to fast-paced, mission-critical settings requiring electrical expertise. 
• · Adaptable to high-pressure, mission-critical settings.
