• Dar Al Shifa Hospital is 230 bedded accredited facility constitutes of inpatient rooms (Imperial, Royal, Junior and Standard), labour rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Also, it has well-equipped ancillary services with the latest technologies.

Registrar- Emergency Medicine

 Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

• Meets all patients for the Emergency Room, provided they fulfill formalities of the Emergency Room according to the policy and procedures.
• Performs and master the first aid management of different medical emergencies according to policies and procedures.
• Notifies the Consultant or Specialist on duty about the details of clinical data if there is no specialty registrar in the admitting unit and the patients need admission and discuss with him the plan of management.
• Takes patient’s history; conducts physical examinations, requests and interprets necessary investigations as the patient’s condition mandates and provides the treatment plans for all patients before transfer to the ward in coordination with the admitting unit registrar in Consultation with the admitting Consultant.

• Notifies outside doctors (specialist, consultant) about cases that require admission and discusses the immediate management of the case until the time the patient is transferred to the ward if the condition so demands.
• Registers the clinical data and any change in treatment instructions in the Emergency Room file. (Mentioning the time and date).
• Completes the clinical notes of the Emergency Room files and handover of cases between the two successive shifts with all clinical details.
• Decides and issues sick leave, according to Ministry Of Health regulations and policies of the hospital.
• Participates in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care needs.
• Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Emergency Room Department Policy and Guidelines.
• Promotes and participates in the departmental and hospital educational and training programs and clinical audits.
• Accepts all other additional assignments pertaining to the departmental and hospital activities and growth found necessary by the Head of Department.

Consultant - Cardiology Interventional

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

• Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines
• Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to department and responsible to run his/her own clinic
• Provides the highest quality of service to the patients under his/her care within the resources provided by the program
• Investigates, diagnoses and treats all patients referred to him /her with conditions problems appropriate to his specialty and will determine the need for clinical investigations and physiological testing appropriate to making his diagnosis, and will undertake the management of the patient's condition, with appropriate follow up.
• Maintains highest professional standard of documentation in line with policies and procedures and internationally accepted standards.
• Undertakes interventional procedures, as part of the patients' treatment and/or to reach a diagnosis, where appropriate, in line with his delineated clinical privileges.
• Participates in providing orientation ,education and support for all junior staff in the department and supports continuing medical education, providing teaching materials as part of the professional development of the staff

• Co-ordinates and exercises overall professional control over the activities of registrars for ensuring that sound administrative and professional standards of medical practice are maintained
• Participates in teaching programs in the Department and its sections, regular seminars, promotes clinical investigative work.
• Prepares statistical reports in a timely manner in accordance with the standards within the Department.
• Involves in the departmental/organizational Performance Improvement activities
• Keeps abreast with current procedures and techniques in the field of his/her specialty.
• Reports any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the Clinic or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff and visitors at risk of injury or other harm
• Ensures timely, efficient and effective care for in-patients, out patients and emergencies. Conducts regular ward rounds on all patients.
• Answers calls from the wards regarding conditions related to care given to the patient.
• Participates in committee membership, if assigned
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

1-Junior Accountant

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

• Maintains and updates the general and standard journal entries.
• Reviews a process routine accounting data.
• Prepares paper work on accounts payable/receivable, cost reimbursement and other billings for processing: develop and maintain supporting work sheets.
• Performs reconciliation of accounts and performs the allocation of the collection received from the Customers/Insurance companies.
• Coordinates with assigned insurance companies and collect information related to funds received from various insurance companies/embassy and credit companies.
• Assists in the yearly External Audit process.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

مسجل - طب الطوارئ

 المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية/معايير الأداء

• يستقبل جميع المرضى في غرفة الطوارئ، بشرط أن يستوفوا إجراءات غرفة الطوارئ وفقًا للسياسة والإجراءات.
• تنفيذ وإتقان إدارة الإسعافات الأولية لحالات الطوارئ الطبية المختلفة وفقًا للسياسات والإجراءات.
• إخطار الاستشاري أو الأخصائي المناوب بتفاصيل البيانات السريرية إذا لم يكن هناك مسجل تخصصي في وحدة القبول ويحتاج المرضى إلى القبول ومناقشة خطة الإدارة معه.
• يقوم بأخذ تاريخ المريض وإجراء الفحوصات الجسدية وطلب وتفسير التحقيقات اللازمة حسب ما تتطلبه حالة المريض وتوفير خطط العلاج لجميع المرضى قبل نقلهم إلى الجناح بالتنسيق مع مسجل وحدة القبول بالتشاور مع الاستشاري المقبول.

• يقوم بإخطار الأطباء الخارجيين (أخصائي، استشاري) بالحالات التي تتطلب الدخول إلى المستشفى ويناقش الإدارة الفورية للحالة حتى يتم نقل المريض إلى الجناح إذا كانت الحالة تتطلب ذلك.
• تسجيل البيانات السريرية وأي تغيير في تعليمات العلاج في ملف الطوارئ. (مع ذكر الوقت والتاريخ).
• يقوم بإكمال الملاحظات السريرية لملفات غرفة الطوارئ وتسليم الحالات بين الورديتين المتعاقبتين مع كافة التفاصيل السريرية.
• يقرر ويصدر الإجازات المرضية، وفقا للوائح وزارة الصحة وسياسات المستشفى.
• يشارك في تقييم وتخطيط وتنفيذ وتقدير احتياجات رعاية المرضى.
• ضمان تنفيذ لوائح وزارة الصحة ولوائح وأنظمة الطاقم الطبي بالمستشفى وسياسة وإرشادات قسم الطوارئ.

• ضمان تنفيذ لوائح وزارة الصحة ولوائح وقواعد وأنظمة الطاقم الطبي بالمستشفى وسياسة القسم والمبادئ التوجيهية
• تشخيص وعلاج المرضى المحولين إلى القسم والمسؤول عن إدارة عيادته الخاصة
• يقدم أعلى مستوى من الجودة في الخدمة للمرضى تحت رعايته ضمن الموارد التي يوفرها البرنامج
• يقوم بفحص وتشخيص وعلاج جميع المرضى المحالين إليه والذين يعانون من حالات ومشاكل تتناسب مع تخصصه، ويحدد الحاجة إلى التحقيقات السريرية والاختبارات الفسيولوجية المناسبة لتشخيصه، ويتولى إدارة حالة المريض مع المتابعة المناسبة.
• الحفاظ على أعلى مستوى مهني من التوثيق بما يتماشى مع السياسات والإجراءات والمعايير المقبولة دوليا.
• يقوم بإجراءات تدخلية، كجزء من علاج المرضى و/أو للوصول إلى التشخيص، حيثما كان ذلك مناسبًا، بما يتماشى مع امتيازاته السريرية المحددة.
• يشارك في تقديم التوجيه والتعليم والدعم لجميع الموظفين المبتدئين في القسم ويدعم التعليم الطبي المستمر، وتوفير المواد التعليمية كجزء من التطوير المهني للموظفين

• ينسق ويمارس الرقابة المهنية الشاملة على أنشطة المسجلين لضمان الحفاظ على المعايير الإدارية والمهنية السليمة للممارسة الطبية
• يشارك في برامج التدريس في القسم وأقسامه، والندوات الدورية، ويشجع العمل البحثي السريري.
• إعداد التقارير الإحصائية في الوقت المناسب وفقا للمعايير المتبعة داخل القسم.
• يشارك في أنشطة تحسين الأداء الإداري/التنظيمي
• يتابع الإجراءات والتقنيات الحالية في مجال تخصصه.
