Junior Procurement & Costing Engineer – Gulf Center United Industrial Equipment Co.
Gulf Center United Industrial Equipment Co. is looking for a motivated and experienced Junior Procurement & Costing Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team in Kuwait.
Position: Junior Procurement & Costing Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
Handle procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and services
Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and project costing analysis
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) through platforms such as K-Tendering, MEW, KISR, and to both local and international suppliers
Source vendors, negotiate pricing, and maintain supplier relationships
Collect, compare, and organize supplier quotations and submit them to the Estimation & Proposal Engineer for commercial evaluation
Monitor project budgets and ensure proper cost control
Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Project, and Site teams
Ensure procurement activities comply with company and client specifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3–5 years of experience in mechanical procurement and costing
Knowledge of the local Kuwait market and suppliers is an advantage
Good understanding of INCOTERMS and international trade regulations
Familiarity with local and international suppliers and logistics providers
Strong coordination and communication skills to work with engineering, logistics, QC, and vendors
Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks is an added advantage
Familiarity with KOC, KNPC, and other K-Companies standards, procedures, and approved vendor lists
Knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel, piping, tanks, motors, gear systems, oils, and process equipment
Good communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of Inventory Management and ERP systems is a plus
Proficiency in MS Excel and costing software
Candidates with or without a driving license may apply
Knowledge of customs clearance procedures is an advantage
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: KWD 350–500 (based on experience)
Company benefits as per Kuwait Labor Law
