PAE is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic for a position supporting the Air Force on a program in Kuwait. The Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for vehicle maintenance activities on military and commercial designed general purpose, construction, material handling and aircraft support vehicles and equipment IAW international, US, Air Force and PWS requirements.. This will include inspection, diagnostics, repair, rebuild and replacement of components and assemblies as well as routine maintenance. This will include performing all reporting and documentation of all records and responsibility for notifying supervisor of any stock shortages or pending needs to maintain adequate materials for Program.
The Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for communicating of equipment requirements, repairs, replacements, and any other relative information with Program leadership related to vehicles and equipment, including meeting all reporting requirements as stated in PWS and may be directed to attend remedial training within the maintenance area to enhance daily operations. The Vehicle Mechanic will respond to any requests of the Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.
The Vehicle Mechanic shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature, including supervisory experience.
Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Valid US or local driver's license and US passport.
Active Secret Clearance.
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
EDUCATION
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
ASE certification preferred
