Location: Arifjan, Kuwait
GovCIO is currently seeking a
Strategic Planner to provide support at Arifjan, Kuwait. This role focuses on high-level planning and coordination within military operations, specifically for Army Sustainment Command (ASC) and related Department of the Army (HQDA) and Army Materiel Command (AMC) plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist ASC in gaining visibility at TS/SCI level events.
- Prepare staff estimates, courses of action, OPORDs, FRAGORDs, and WARNORDs.
- Support analysis of ASC’s mission within the Army.
- Contribute to mid and long-range planning for operational success.
- Help develop staff estimates that align with theater strategies and campaign plans.
- Assist with the implementation of action plans and strategies.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI
- Education: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent military experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years supporting Joint, U.S. Army, or component-level HQ operations.
- Preferred qualifications include graduates of SAMS or JIPOC, but not mandatory.
- Graduates of military Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) or the Support Operations Course (Phase 2) with logistics and combat deployment experience are essential.
- Functional knowledge of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
- Broad understanding of the Army sustainment enterprise, including Department of the Army, USTRANSCOM, and ASCC headquarters.
- Recent experience working at a one-star command or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint at the intermediate level.
