About the Job:
American International University (AIU) in Kuwait City is seeking dynamic and engaged Full-time faculty members for its School of Engineering and Computing for the 2024-2025 academic year. AIU invites applicants with expertise in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering to join its academic community.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English
- A commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with faculty from various disciplines
The ideal candidate should be an innovative professional who uses current trends and technologies to deliver engaging and relevant classroom experiences. They should be a leader in the Electrical & Computer Engineering field and actively contribute to both teaching and research.
Teaching Areas:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the following subjects:
- Electrical Circuits
- Electronics
- Digital Logic Design
- Control Systems
- Linear Signals and Systems
- Senior Design Projects
Additionally, the candidate will be expected to:
- Develop research programs
- Supervise undergraduate students
- Contribute to university and school service
- Engage in leadership roles in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, and mentoring
- Play an active role in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education
Experience:
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience.
