Water Handling Instructor
To deliver training and assessment to Technicians and Graduates, using currently available training hand-outs and materials, in classroom, OJT and Oil Field locations.
Conduct a full review of all associated training materials, make recommendations, and implement update of all training programmes where necessary.
Provide 'Train the Trainer' support to Instructors through classroom sessions, On the Job training, Job Shadowing, training material development and discussions, etc.
Take an active part in reviewing training alignment with future business needs and technical challenges.
Must have previous experience of developing, reviewing, and upgrading training materials and curriculum.
Must have a good understanding of competency profiles and frameworks.
Submit reports as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly) and required training delivery and/or development data as requested by Line Management or the client.
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas Upstream and must have an in-depth knowledge of the following:
Produced water treatment systems - effluent water collection, storage, and injection
Water Injection Plants & facilities, X-Mas trees for water injection, flow control valves, guard filters, manifolds, HP Centrifugal pumps with VSD
Water treatment - media filtration, chemical/biocide injection, coagulants, oxygen scavenger, scale/corrosion inhibitors
DCS Control Systems
Utilities
Storage Tanks
Process Control and Process Safety
Internationally recognised Assessor and Verifier qualifications (both desirable).
International Train the Trainer qualification (desirable).
Possess good IT skills, in particular Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Be capable of working with different cultures, coach, and mentor existing staff, and developing good working relationships. Must be culturally aware and sensitive.
Needs to have a flexible attitude to all work activities, and be prepared to accept training schedule changes, and to work unsocial hours if required.
Must possess emotional resilience, be a self-starter and have a positive attitude.
Willingness to travel within client desert locations and gathering centres for work requirements
Operational experience as a Technician and above in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum 15 years' experience in related field and specialty with 10 years' experience working in International Major Oil & Gas Companies in an Operational - Upstream Environment.
Minimum of 5 years previous experience of technical training delivery and assessment in classroom, and OJT workplace training.
Must possess a valid driving licence and must follow all company and client driving/health and safety policies and procedures.
