Who We’re Looking For:
We are hiring for Senior Infrastructure L2 Support Engineer who has a deep understanding and hands-on technical experience to maintain daily operation tasks to serve one of leading telecommunication company in Saudi Arabia.
What You'll Do:
• Second level support to respond for received Incidents/ Change Requests and ensure to meet prescribed SLA.
• Handle day-to-day tasks and maintains customer’s environments.
• Install, configure and upgrade or patching Operating System.
• Take part in vulnerability assessment over production servers and apply security hot fixes.
• Disk Management: Configuring and managing LDOM's and Zones, Creating, Formatting, Resizing and Deleting volumes.
• Performance Management Tuning of UNIX Kernel.
• File system tuning, growing, and shrinking with VERITAS File system.
• Administration for multiple sun hard wares, this involves creating domains, adding/deleting system components.
• Administration and Troubleshooting Os issue that running over the servers.
• Managing VERITAS File system / disk storage and VERITAS Volume Manager with VERITAS File System VxFS .
• Configured File Sharing protocols such as SMB, CIFS and NFS for windows and Linux connectivity based on the requirements.
• Managing disk storage, growing, and shrinking with Veritas and Power Path File system.
• Implemented NFS for administrative and project requirements.
• Tuning UNIX kernel parameters based on the application/database requirement.
• Worked closely with database administration staff to ensure optimal performance of databases, and maintain development applications and databases.
• Monitoring system resources, logs, disk usage, scheduling backups and restore.
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security and set up quotas for the user accounts limiting for the disk space usage.
• Configuring SUDO accounts and granting root permission to users for performing certain activities.
• Configuring and managing Network parameter related task HOSTING, NTP, etc.
• Managing Control domain and Hardware consoles.
• Implemented and configured Backup policies and Storage Units.
• Maintains and manage external NTP servers belong to the organization.
• Maintains and manage TPAM system in order to control authentication and session access while connecting Linux | Windows production servers,
• Maintains VMWare andNutanix virtualization environment.
• Participate in on-call role which rotating among team members of the team.
What You'll Need:
Min 5+ years relevant Operations supporting a heterogeneous in the following..
• Should have good working experience on Solaris and RHEL OS Administration.
• Should have good level of proficiency in cluster administration and Troubleshooting.
• Familiar with operational processes: OS level patching / Clone/ Migrate/ Upgrade/ High Availability (HA)/ Disaster Recovery (DR), Failover.
• Should have strong experience in SAN | NAS storage technologies of NetApp, Huawei OceanStor 9000, and EMC storage products.
• Experience with Logical Volume Manager, Storage concepts and SAN provisioning
• Good understanding for backup and restoration scenarios using IBM Spectrum Protect solution.
• Good experience with VMWare and Nutanix virtualization technologies.
• Solid knowledge of NTP, SNMP, SMTP, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Familiarity with Cisco Unified Computing System such UCS and HPE rack or blade H|W servers administration and maintenance.
Your Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
• Advance Linux Administration, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), etc is desired and preferred.
