Project Engineer II - Kuwait
The purpose of this role is to lead/implement complex and standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project i.e. DCS, to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints achieving required quality.
May interface directly with customers on specific design details of non standard solutions.
Can technically coach/mentor an assistant and actively shares knowledge with other engineers in the discipline team.
To support the implementation of projects in line with P&AS objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
Produces part(s) of functional design specifications under supervision.
Produces (parts of) detailed design specifications.
Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)
Coaches and supports assigned engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work.
Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.
Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines
Reports progress and technical problems and/or changes to project lead engineer or principal engineer.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelors’ degree in engineering preferred.
NBA accredited degree and college is preferred.
Appropriate technical qualification for role
Six Sigma Certification
CCNA Certification (Preferred)
Project experience as Engineer with Honeywell Experion C200/C300/CEPLC/RTU2020/Safety Manager Controllers.
Design and Functional experience in Experion DCS, HMI, Network, FDM disciplines.
8-10 years of applicable project experience with Min. 5 Years Site Commissioning Experience.
Hand-on Experience In HMI Web, Networking And Server Functions.
Experience in Honeywell Safety Manager with ESD / FGS Application and Other 3rd Party System Interface like OPC, Modbus, Fieldbus, Profibus will be added Advantage
Experion Controller qualification and certification
Experion Systems Qualification and Certification
Experion HMI Qualification and Certification
Working Knowledge of MS Office, Autocad, Visio
Ability to effectively communicate in English is required
Additional languages would be a benefit
