• Dar Al Shifa Hospital is 230 bedded accredited facility constitutes of inpatient rooms (Imperial, Royal, Junior and Standard), labour rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Emergency Room, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Outpatient clinics and sub-specialized medical/surgical fields. Also, it has well-equipped ancillary services with the latest technologies.

 Registrar - ENT

Purpose and Scope of the Job

• The Registrar is responsible for patients with medical problems generally considered to fall his/her specialty. 
• Reports to the HOD on matters relating to the operations of the patient care division and maintain contact with the Head of Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

• Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines
• Performs duties of diagnosis and management of patients attending the ENT out patients department.
• Responsible for pre op and postoperative care of patients as designated by HOD.
• Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to department and responsible to run his/her own clinic↚
• Responsible to provide the highest quality of service to the patients under his/her care within the resources provided by the program
• Undertakes interventional procedures, as part of the patients' treatment and/or to reach a diagnosis, where appropriate, in line with his delineated clinical privileges.

• The Registrar with or without the help of consultant will review outpatients summaries and shall prepare reports and statistical analysis as required of him; such reports will be prepared in a timely manner in accordance with the standards
• Reports any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the Clinic or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff and visitors at risk of injury or other harm.
• Participates in and help establish the educational programs conducted by medical administration and provide instructions as required to the various departments in the form of a continuing education program.
• Contributes in verification of the qualification and capabilities of all technical personnel as required by Head of Department. Provides leadership for organizational performance improvement activities.
• Follows established policies and procedures.
• Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality

 مسجل - أمراض الأنف والأذن والحنجرة

غرض ونطاق الوظيفة

• يكون المسجل مسؤولاً عن المرضى الذين يعانون من مشاكل طبية تعتبر عمومًا من ضمن تخصصه. 
• يقدم التقارير إلى رئيس القسم بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بعمليات قسم رعاية المرضى ويحافظ على الاتصال مع رئيس القسم.

المهام والمسؤوليات الرئيسية/معايير الأداء

• ضمان تنفيذ لوائح وزارة الصحة ولوائح وأنظمة الطاقم الطبي بالمستشفى وسياسات وإرشادات القسم
• يقوم بمهام تشخيص وإدارة المرضى الذين يراجعون قسم العيادات الخارجية لأمراض الأنف والأذن والحنجرة.
• المسؤول عن رعاية المرضى قبل وبعد العملية الجراحية حسب ما يحدده رئيس القسم.
• تشخيص وعلاج المرضى المحولين إلى القسم والمسؤول عن إدارة عيادته الخاصة
• المسؤول عن تقديم أعلى مستوى من الجودة من الخدمة للمرضى تحت رعايته ضمن الموارد التي يوفرها البرنامج
• يقوم بإجراءات تدخلية، كجزء من علاج المرضى و/أو للوصول إلى التشخيص، حيثما كان ذلك مناسبًا، بما يتماشى مع امتيازاته السريرية المحددة.

• يقوم المسجل بمساعدة أو بدون مساعدة استشاري بمراجعة ملخصات المرضى الخارجيين وإعداد التقارير والتحليلات الإحصائية حسب المطلوب منه؛ وسيتم إعداد هذه التقارير في الوقت المناسب وفقًا للمعايير
• يبلغ عن أي حادث لا يتوافق مع تشغيل العيادة أو معيار الخدمة للمرضى أو الموظفين أو الزوار والمواقف التي تعرض المرضى أو الموظفين أو الزوار لخطر الإصابة أو أي ضرر آخر.
• المشاركة والمساعدة في إنشاء البرامج التعليمية التي تجريها الإدارة الطبية وتقديم التعليمات المطلوبة للأقسام المختلفة في شكل برنامج التعليم المستمر.
• يساهم في التحقق من مؤهلات وقدرات جميع الكوادر الفنية حسب متطلبات رئيس القسم. ويقود أنشطة تحسين أداء المؤسسة.
• يتبع السياسات والإجراءات المعمول بها.
