Position: Flight Operations Specialist (USN)
Details
We are seeking a full-time Flight Operations Specialist to support LOGCAP V operations. The specialist will assist in ensuring the safety and efficiency of airfield movements and communications, performing both operational and administrative duties under the guidance of the Flight Operations Coordinator. Candidates must be ready to operate in austere conditions and respond to sudden mission requirements.
Description
Monitor runways, taxiways, and flight-related infrastructure for safe operations
Coordinate maintenance for airfield facilities to ensure readiness
Identify hazards to flight operations and recommend necessary restrictions
Collaborate with international, military, and local entities for flight planning and emergency responses
Advise on airfield closures, lighting systems, and navigational aid availability
Respond to emergencies and support airfield management during incidents
Perform regular reporting, assessments, and documentation as per standards
Requirements
Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Valid passport and driver’s license (minimum 12-month validity)
Must meet CENTCOM MOD-17 medical requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination
Must have or be eligible for access to U.S. military installations
Experience as a Flight Operations Specialist or relevant military MOS (minimum 2 years preferred)
Graduate of U.S. military air traffic control school or FAA Academy
Active Secret Clearance
Ability to pass Class IV Army flight physical
Flexibility to work rotating shifts (day/night) and travel internationally
Physically capable of lifting and working under adverse, remote, or extreme weather conditions
