We’re Hiring: Cost Accountant / Cost Analyst – Join the Leaders in Flexible Packaging

Are you ready to take your cost accounting expertise to the next level? Join Genoa Plastic Industries (GPI) – one of Kuwait’s leading names in the Flexible Packaging industry. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to oversee cost-related strategies and help drive profitability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, study, and gather data to determine the cost of business activities including raw material, inventory, and labor.

• Finalize product selling prices for new projects through feasibility studies and industry benchmarking.

• Analyze raw materials, product designs, and production methods to understand and control costs.

• Prepare regular reports comparing standard costs vs actual production costs.

• Maintain a solid cost accounting system to track and manage expenditures accurately.

• Provide pricing, profitability, and market analysis reports to senior management.

• Estimate production costs for new and upcoming products.↚ 

• Assist in closing the general ledger at month-end.

• Reconcile finished goods inventory and manage cycle counts and audits.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of raw material and color masterbatch prices, both locally and internationally.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with FG and RM suppliers/customers in Kuwait and the GCC region.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Flexible Packaging industry.

• Expertise in Lamination and Flexographic Printing is essential.

• Previous experience in Shrink Film Packaging is highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ICWA, CA, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and best practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Experience with MAPICS system is preferred.

• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams on cost control initiatives.

• Excellent analytical skills, precision, and attention to detail.

• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

• بناء علاقات قوية مع مورّدي ومشتري المنتجات الخام والنهائية داخل الكويت وخارجها.

المتطلبات

• خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في صناعة التغليف المرن.

• خبرة في الطباعة الفلكسوغرافية والتغليف بالتصفيح شرط أساسي.

• خبرة سابقة في تغليف أفلام الشرينك تُعد ميزة قوية.

• شهادة بكالوريوس في المحاسبة أو ICWA أو CA أو ما يعادلها.

• فهم قوي لمبادئ محاسبة التكاليف وأفضل الممارسات.

• إتقان استخدام برامج Excel وWord وOutlook.

• يفضل من لديه خبرة في نظام MAPICS.

• خبرة مثبتة في التعاون مع فرق الهندسة والإنتاج لضبط التكاليف.

• مهارات تحليلية عالية واهتمام كبير بالتفاصيل.

• مستوى عالٍ من السرّية والنزاهة والمهنية.
