Job Summary
Manage and oversee all aspects of the supply chain operations, including purchasing, warehouse and inventory, yard maintenance, assets, customs, import/export, planning, development, logistics, and distribution.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and advise departments, through reporting and communication, on planning strategies for procurement, inventory control, logistics, distribution, import/export issues, and asset management.
- Ensure collaboration with stakeholders to identify needs and ensure buying channels, inventory stocking, and transportation arrangements meet operational needs.
- Manage procurement supply chain activities to meet business and customer needs.
- Establish a supply base and manage procurement supply chain processes for optimal business results.
- Communicate objectives to line managers and personnel, reflecting the company’s goals.
- Analyze processes for potential cost reductions and waste identification.
- Manage vendor relationships, both local and international, to reduce wait times.
- Train and assist subordinates in supply chain management-related departments.
- Review and optimize processes for faster turnaround times and improved effectiveness.
- Implement strategies, policies, and procedures in line with NDIL.
- Oversee logistics, transportation of repairs, and supplies for rigs and repair shops.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and internal controls for supplier performance.
- Lead cost management initiatives to optimize costs and processes.
- Provide monthly reports on performance to stakeholders, identifying issues and solutions.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews to assess trends and impact on business models.
- Manage and lead training programs, handle interviewing, hiring, and employee grievances.
- Responsible for the health of the balance sheet, margin improvement, and process efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or procurement, with 4 years in supervisory roles.
- Strong product knowledge of drilling equipment and global asset supply chain management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of recent international experience in asset supply chain management.
- Cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to build credibility and commitment with stakeholders.
- Strong prioritization and team management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, inventory control, and supplier relationship management.
