The Role
AspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing—including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs, and become more energy efficient.
The Sales Account Executive is a senior role in the Aspen Technology Sales group and is responsible for selling software licenses and consulting services directly to assigned customer accounts.
Your Impact
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota.
- Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development.
- Manage day-to-day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources.
- Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
- Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams.
- Work as a team member on sales efforts involving global account opportunities.
- Develop and maintain customer contacts at assigned accounts.
What You'll Need
- Demonstrated track record in successful direct sales of software solutions.
- Extensive experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.
- Significant experience leading multimillion-dollar sales campaigns.
- Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Personal computer literacy.
- University degree preferred.
- Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision.
Additional consideration for candidates with:
- Chemical Engineering or relevant technical degree.
- Specific industry knowledge and experience.
- Familiarity with Aspen or similar products.
