Freight Specialist
The Freight Specialist ensures that e-commerce shipping is manageable, affordable, and fast by finding the right partner and implementing strategies to reduce delays, damages, or inconsistencies.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent communicator, ensuring our shipments are delivered as planned in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Experience with international complex, industrial projects while stationed abroad.
- Independent, quality-minded, with a structured approach to tasks.
- Maintain a solid overview, even in high-pressure situations and tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Thrive in an international environment and with international project teams across countries.
- Monitor supply chains and shipments.
- Engage in regular communication with clients.
- Ensure timely schedules for client orders.
- Maintain accurate and consistent records.
- Address errors to promote client satisfaction.
- Manage inventory databases.
- Prepare comparisons with current courier rates.
- Negotiate agreement terms and processes with finalized new carriers.
- Manage and create process flows for freight operations.
- Communicate with operations and warehouse teams as required.
- Communicate with new carriers as necessary.
Requirements:
- Immediate joiner.
- Quick learner.
- Transferable visa 18.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- 3 years of experience in freight.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: KD400.000 - KD600.000 per month
