Bovine Farm Veterinarian

• We are a well-established and rapidly growing dairy farm located in Kuwait, home to over 3,000 high-yielding dairy cattle. 
• Committed to excellence in animal health, welfare, and productivity, we are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian with proven experience in dairy cattle care to join our team.

Position Summary:

• As a key member of our animal health team, the Veterinarian will be responsible for overseeing the medical care and well-being of our herd. 
• This includes implementing preventative health strategies, diagnosing and treating illnesses, supporting reproductive programs, and working collaboratively with farm management to optimize overall herd productivity and welfare.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

• Perform clinical diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care for dairy cattle.
• Lead and implement herd health programs including vaccination schedules, deworming, and disease surveillance.
• Monitor animal behavior, health trends, and biosecurity protocols to ensure high standards of welfare.
• Support reproductive health initiatives including artificial insemination and pregnancy monitoring.
• Provide expertise on nutrition, calf rearing, and metabolic disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using herd management software.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, nutritionists, farm management, and staff to enhance animal performance and productivity.
• Train and mentor farm personnel on animal care practices, hygiene, and early disease detection.
• Be available for emergency care and critical interventions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in large-scale dairy cattle operations.
• Strong understanding of bovine internal medicine, surgery, reproduction, and nutrition.
• Familiarity with herd management and health tracking software.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work in a farm-based, physically demanding environment and respond effectively to urgent situations.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

ملخص الوظيفة:

• تدريب وإرشاد العاملين في المزرعة حول ممارسات رعاية الحيوانات والنظافة والكشف المبكر عن الأمراض.
• أن يكون متاحًا لتقديم الرعاية الطارئة والتدخلات الحرجة حسب الحاجة.

المؤهلات المطلوبة

• دكتور في الطب البيطري (DVM) أو ما يعادله من مؤسسة معترف بها.
• - خبرة عملية لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في عمليات تربية الأبقار الحلوب على نطاق واسع.
• فهم قوي للطب الباطني البقري والجراحة والتكاثر والتغذية.
• - المعرفة ببرامج إدارة القطيع وتتبع الصحة.
• مهارات ممتازة في التواصل والقيادة مع موقف استباقي وموجه نحو الفريق.
• القدرة على العمل في بيئة زراعية تتطلب جهدا جسديا كبيرا والاستجابة بشكل فعال للمواقف العاجلة.
• إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية، ومعرفة اللغة العربية تعتبر ميزة إضافية.
