Job Opening: Derma Nurse
Patient Assessment and Care:
- Conducting initial assessments of patients, gathering relevant medical history, and understanding skin concerns.
- Providing nursing care to patients with dermatological conditions, including chronic skin issues like eczema, psoriasis, or acute cases such as infections or allergic reactions.
- Educating patients on skincare routines, medication usage, and post-treatment care.
Assisting Dermatological Procedures:
- Preparing patients for minor surgical procedures like mole removal, biopsies, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
- Assisting dermatologists during cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections, fillers, microdermabrasion, laser therapy, and cryotherapy.
- Dressing wounds and applying medications or treatments prescribed by dermatologists.
Administering Medications and Treatments:
- Administering injections, oral medications, and topical treatments as prescribed.
- Monitoring and documenting patient reactions to treatments and medications.
- Applying dressings, bandages, and managing minor wound care.
Patient Education and Counselling:
- Educating patients on skin conditions, sun safety, acne management, and cosmetic treatments.
- Offering emotional support and counselling for patients dealing with chronic skin issues.
- Explaining procedures, treatment plans, and expected outcomes in a compassionate and understandable manner.
Clinical Documentation and Follow-Up:
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including treatment details, medication lists, and follow-up instructions.

- Documenting patient progress and updating dermatologists about any concerns or complications.
Infection Control and Safety:
- Ensuring a sterile environment during procedures and maintaining infection control protocols.

Skin Sample Collection and Lab Coordination:
- Collecting skin, hair, or nail samples for lab testing.
- Coordinating with laboratories for biopsy or culture reports and informing dermatologists about lab results.
Patient Communication and Liaison:
- Acting as a bridge between patients and dermatologists by relaying information and addressing patient concerns.
- Providing clear instructions and ensuring patients are well-informed about follow-up care and treatment plans.
Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology Support:
- Assisting in procedures related to aesthetic dermatology, such as laser hair removal, tattoo removal, skin tightening, and pigmentation treatments.
- Offering advice on skincare products and routines tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintaining Clinical Skills and Knowledge:
- Staying updated with new treatments, techniques, and products in dermatology.
- Participating in training sessions, workshops, and continued education to enhance knowledge in dermatology and cosmetology.
Qualifications
- Patient Care, Clinical Skills, and Nursing Diagnosis skills
- Experience in healthcare administration and regulatory compliance

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Current Registered Nurse license in Kuwait

- مراقبة وتوثيق ردود الفعل لدى المرضى تجاه العلاجات والأدوية.
- تطبيق الضمادات، والتعامل مع العناية بالجروح البسيطة.
تعليم المرضى والاستشارة:
- تعليم المرضى عن حالات الجلد، وسلامة الشمس، وإدارة حب الشباب، والعلاجات التجميلية.
- تقديم الدعم العاطفي والاستشارة للمرضى الذين يتعاملون مع مشاكل جلدية مزمنة.
