About the job
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Area Manager will be responsible for the region’s financial growth and expansion, ensuring objectives as per the financial plan for the region are accomplished. The role will be accountable for the region’s Operations & Sales objectives in collaboration with the Business Unit heads.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and implement a sustainable strategy (1–3-year timescales) for the Region while managing current and future growth.
- Oversee the financial growth for the region; set financial priorities accurately to meet revenue targets and maximize profitability.
- Own the entirety of the Sales and Operation process to meet targets for growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Responsible for managing Health and Safety in a proactive manner, with the aim of achieving the company’s safety goals.
- Direct and support all business activities to drive continuous improvement to deliver value-added and cost-effective solutions.
- Build & grow the sales pipeline including new sales opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability targets while mitigating risks for the region.
- Assure compliance with the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for bidding and project delivery.
- Oversee and analyze projects and business costs, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Recruit, select, and develop senior management team members.
- Set direction and objectives for team members and ensure achievement of their development plans.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent from an internationally recognized University.
- Master’s in Business Administration would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a Construction/Engineering company, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrable Project Management experience in a Construction or Engineering industry with high turnover and activity.
- Management of a Branch/Regional or large Department within an organization preferred.
- Experience in hiring staff, purchasing equipment, determining budgets, and setting operational procedures.
- Keen analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision-making.
- Excellent coalition-building skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions.

- بناء وتنمية pipeline للمبيعات بما في ذلك فرص المبيعات الجديدة لزيادة الإيرادات وتحقيق أهداف الربحية مع تقليل المخاطر على المنطقة.
- ضمان الامتثال لإجراءات التشغيل القياسية للشركة (SOPs) لتقديم العروض وإدارة المشاريع.
- الإشراف على تحليل المشاريع وتكاليف الأعمال، والتوقعات، وتدفقات النقد.
- توظيف وتحديد وتطوير أعضاء فريق الإدارة العليا.
- تحديد الاتجاه والأهداف لأعضاء الفريق وضمان تحقيق خطط تطويرهم.
متطلبات التأهيل:
- درجة في الهندسة أو ما يعادلها من جامعة معترف بها دوليًا.
- الحصول على درجة الماجستير في إدارة الأعمال سيكون ميزة إضافية.
- الحد الأدنى من 12 عامًا من الخبرة في شركة إنشاءات / هندسة بما في ذلك الحد الأدنى من 4 سنوات في دور إداري.
- خبرة في إدارة المشاريع في صناعة البناء أو الهندسة ذات حجم عمل مرتفع.
- يفضل إدارة فرع / منطقة أو قسم كبير داخل منظمة.
- خبرة في توظيف الموظفين وشراء المعدات وتحديد الميزانيات ووضع الإجراءات التشغيلية.
- مهارات تحليلية وتنظيمية وحل المشكلات ممتازة تدعم وتمكن من اتخاذ قرارات سليمة.
- مهارات بناء تحالفات ممتازة مع القدرة على التواصل والعمل بفعالية مع مجموعة متنوعة من المعنيين الداخليين والخارجيين؛ مُفاوض مقنع قادر على تحقيق توافق بين الآراء المختلفة.
