1. Jr. Coordinator
Coordination Between:
- IVS Manager
- IVS Technical/Deputy Manager
- Senior Lifting Surveyors
- MEP/Fire Safety Surveyors
- Lifting Surveyors
- Rig Mechanic Surveyor/Rig Auditor
Primary Functions:
- Preparing proposals
- Maintaining department records
- Raising invoices
- Coordinating with surveyors and customers
- LPO and payment follow-up
Business Requirements:
- Implement department policies
- Customer focus
- Meeting deadlines
HSE Requirements:
- Comply with all applicable legal requirements, BV Group HSE Policies and procedures, and client’s HSE procedures and practices.
- Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard-free and report any deviations, faults, or hazards immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor.
- Report any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational controls to minimize risks.
- Report any HSE incidents and cooperate in investigations.
- Use appropriate PPE and be aware of the risks that PPE will control or minimize.
KPIs:
- Record maintenance and retrieval
- Timely dispatch of certificates and invoices
- Departmental coordination
- Organizational skills
2. PSM Engineer
Qualification and Experience:
- Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Petroleum, Electrical, or Instrument Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 15 years of professional experience in an Oil & Gas operating company.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in technical safety project documentation (e.g., TSE philosophies, Asset Integrity – Process Safety (AI-PS) principles, Project Specifications).
- Leak path reduction, layout optimization, hazardous area classification, toxic facility classification analysis, fire protection analysis, and more.
- Active and passive fire protection design, flare radiation assessment, noise mitigation, and 3-D model reviews.
- Safety Critical Elements identification, ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) demonstration, and Technical Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).
- Proficient in hazard identification (HAZID), risk register, hazard analyses (HAZOP & LOPA), and quantitative risk assessments (QRA).
- Emergency preparedness, major hazard incident investigations, and safety critical elements identification.
Job Description:
- Implement Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, including safety culture.
- Develop and maintain technical safety project documentation.
- Ensure safety in design and engineering practices with a focus on inherently safer design and compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, BS, JEC, NFPA).
- Conduct hazard analyses using methodologies like Bow-Tie, HAZOP & LOPA, and perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Lead major hazard incident investigations (fires or explosions).
- Prepare PSM communication tools and materials.
Skills:
- Strong technical interface with HSE regulators, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to specify performance standards for safety-critical systems and provide operational support to mitigate risks.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, both as a team member and leader.
3. Lead Technician - LDAR
Department: Industry - NDT
Reporting to: Contract Manager (LDAR)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Familiarize with database and P&ID’s, confirming stream/services and identifying issues.
- Conduct leak detection surveys using advanced IR cameras for light hydrocarbons, gas service lines, and equipment.
- Calculate leak rates based on USEPA M21 guidelines.
- Classify and flag leaks, set monitoring routes, and issue repair work orders.
- Use Toxic Vapor Analyzers (TVA) to quantify and classify leaks as repairable online or requiring shutdown.
- Submit daily electronic activity reports and track leak detection monitoring records.
- Monitor flare relief valves using FLIR T640 Thermal Camera & UT devices.
- Assist with repair by conducting repeated measurements and troubleshooting.
- Schedule weekly/monthly plans and assign tasks to assistant technicians.
- Submit monthly reports to highlight deficiencies, new leaks, and suggestions for improving the program.
- Respond to emergency callouts and attend plant shutdowns.
Authorities:
- Authority to stop work if the situation is unsafe.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Certificate/Diploma
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar projects
- Minimum 2 years of experience in using IR cameras
Desired Skills:
- Strong command of English (reading, writing, oral comprehension)
- Valid Kuwait or GCC driving license
- Ability to pass Permit to Work (PTW) tests
